Floyd, you did a super job using the various tools from Toontrack, Presonus and Native instruments! That took a lot of attention and patience to get all of that in place! The song is another great example of your writing and performance skills! It's a wonderful tune that should garner a lot of plays! Thanks, Torrey

I've always liked your lyrics. These are one of your tops.

I like that acoustic guitar. It works so well with this.

Floyd, you're able to keep things "fresh" effortlessly while still giving us "classic" and the comfort of another Floyd Jane song. Great production and performance.

Hello Floyd,

I enjoyed this song for a lot of reasons;
The clever lyrics
The nice composition
The brilliant mix
and whatever it did to my mood.

Well, these are a lot of things to tell you I have (again) enjoyed a song of yours!

Old or new, it always sounds like you, Floyd; well written lyrics, excellent vocal and pro mix. (I also had to google luccheses. Those're some good looking boots.)

Clever and thought provoking.

Your vocals, the acoustic guitar, the string part, the keys and bass ... what to say?
"They all sound stellar" will work!

Those, we'll call them kettle drums, are remarkable especially on our new monitors.

With your multiple performances and BiaB you put together a heckuva room filling but open mix.

Whatever the genre moniker we most enjoyed it!

Thanks for mention the write, the vocal, the guitar part, the keys and bass!! And mix...
I'll want to hear those "keetle drums" on your monitors next time we are in GA....

Yes, sounds fresh, the low drum has nice sound and the acoustic guitar works well with it.
very romantic descriptions, like "she smelled of citrus and sandlewood"
I like how the second verses changes completely the mood of the chorus and how your voice also reflects that change.
For some reason, this song made me want to listen to Michelle Branch...

Nice of you to say, Scott. It's funny...I would rate this quite low on my scale of "well written lyrics"... just goes to show, you never know...

You're so blooming versatile. I don't know about modern or otherwise, but your delivery of the song is what struck me, first of all. You're a musician and a half. The writing is your usual stellar standard, no matter what style you write in, that's a given. But here it really sounds like you're "taking a risk" with the delivery, and it pays off. Sorry I'm late to the party in commenting, but boy was it worth the listen. Bravo.

Thanks for listening, Herb. Not sure how to answer your question - are you suggesting that this is NOT contemporary? If so, I think you need to tell me what your definition of contemporary is...

I honestly don't know...I liked it. Isn't that what matters no matter what it's labeled as.

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
