Hi all Looking for some help I am trying to import an mp3 into the ACW of BIAB 2022 version. So far I have Went to File ,Open Open Special,Open Audio Import ,Import Audio THE IMPORT AUDIO File BOX comes up with the destination track and import audio to this time in the song,
But no audio actually is imported .What am I doing wrong?thanks in advance Hugh
Thanks , Yeah i tried it in realband but it doesnt have the same features as BIAB and realband is so cumbersome when you are using another Daw ,in my case Reaper,Maybe there is a video but I cant see one ,H
It is a two step process. First import the MP3 file into the Audio track of Band-in-a-Box. Second access the new Audio Chord Wizard through the Audio Editor.
I found two video tutorials on YouTube. +++ First +++ is a ten minute PG Music tutorial. +++ Second +++ is a thirty five minute tutorial by user Henry Clarke.
It's working fine for me in BIAB 2022. This has been an issue in some earlier builds in 2021 versions for some users. I'll report it to the developers.
Thanks Guys , I did the 918 rebuild and it did the trick. It was allowing wavs in but not mp3s. So I have the mp3 showing now in the ACW which it wasnt before ,great I can have a look at those videos now Jim and follow along ,H

Just as a note I think that there's a HUGE difference between my video tutorial and the one in BIAB. My Tutorial takes the song from MP through Audio Chord Wizard and demonstrates how the song can potentially be rebuilt with RealTracks. So just using number that BIAB's is 10 minutes and mine is longer does not really compare !!
I'm sorry you feel I presented your tutorial in a bad light as that was not my intent. I apologize if I offended you.
In my defense in my quick YouTube search for ACW tutorials the two main pieces of information available are video title and video length in time.
Please note I subscribe to your channel. I also "like" each video I enjoy. The highlighted areas in the screen shot below shows the title and time for both the PG Music video and your video.
Yes, your video does present much more information than the PG Music video. But neither the video title or video description note the additional information.
FWIW, I took Jim's post to mean there's a quick PGM video and a more in-depth Henry video.
Jazz relative beginner, starting at a much older age than was helpful. Kawai MP6, Korg M50, Ui24R, Saffire Pro 40. AVL:MXE Linux; Windows 11; Win8.1: Scarletts BIAB2022 UltraPAK, Reaper, a bunch of stuff.

Jim, Honestly there's absolute no offense taken so If I came across that way my sincerest apologies!! It's all good. You guys are great to me !!!
Yep, it came across that way. On offer, from Gentleman Jim, was a quickie and a longer, probably more in depth way to learn what was needed. ANY interpretation otherwise suggests comprehension issues if not paranoia.
There is no need for a defence Jim, none whatsoever.

And as usual Ray wants to interpret what one is thinking. Ray, you just need to give it a break !!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.
Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.
Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
Update your Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows® Today!
Update your Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows for free with build 1111!
With this update, there's more control when saving images from the Print Preview window, we've added defaults to the MultiPicker for sorting and font size, updated printing options, updated RealTracks and other content, and addressed user-reported issues with the StylePicker, MIDI Soloists, key signature changes, and more!
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
