I am tempted to write a ballad, it could be a sort of hiphop "Barnacle Bill the Sailor" (BIAB Bill the Scaler!) with dialog between a roguish music spammer and the fair young maiden he seeks to monetize. But I won't.

It's no big deal about sharing tunes.... the Showcase is, however, supposed to be for tunes made with PG products. However, I don't think you posted in the Showcase.... you posted in the songwriter forum... a technicality I'm sure. A loophole perhaps?
So have you looked at what PG music's Band in a Box could do for your music? It would certainly let you have some professional sounding backing tracks to use and it's not that expensive to try the Pro version for $129 and get started making solid sounding demos of your songs.
