I didn't mean your version Eddie, I meant Bob's original (the other Bob)
You know, for a fresh A/B comparison like you guys had a chance to do

Anyway, my result was much more the result I expected than I remember his being.

Turning thread back on target and engaging now to help him find a solution if he wants to.
RB don't act like that for the rest of us, so no wonder he has never enjoyed using it.
He might if he finds/fixes the issue.

Make your sound your own!
.. I do not work here, but the benefits are still awesome

I can't say anymore on this thread. I have a gag order against me. I have ceased and desisted...

I am using the new 1040XTRAEZ form this year. It has just 2 lines.

1. How much did you make in 2023?
2. Send it to us.

RE…Realband.
So far ive not much to complain bout 2022 rb (or bb) which ive been going through in detail. my audient sound device worked off the bat in rb 2022.
So there really was no faffiing around with settings.
I think the key to using rb, at least for me is ensuring that ones sound devices is set up properly in win audio device....cos i think the installer looks in win.

My only nits with rb are wishes like.. being to slow down the acw, and being to …in stylepicker having a selected style play demo using ones chord set like bb, and possibly....
A spleeter feature (instead of having to download a 3rd party sw.) cos i have lots of songs // stereo masters originally recorded on 2 inch tape eg studer i would like to remix like heavy rockers that float my boat done with
pro session blokes/musos.

So a dog went into a pub in shropshire called the “tipsy kitten” to order a pint of kibble… Ive always wanted to own a pub called that…lol.

Unfortunately we lost a lovely doggie that we spoilt rotten…still brings tears to me.
Wife and i are huge dog lovers.

< to slow down the acw >

I use to analyze songs in sections with the older version of the ACW that RB still uses. It might help you to see if it works for you.

Muso, when I read

"Unfortunately we lost a lovely doggie that we spoilt rotten…still brings tears to me. Wife and i are huge dog lovers."

it made my heart sink. It's been 18 months since I had to put the old timer down, but (and the point of this post) it's also been 18 months minus 3 days since I got THIS guy! There are dogs that need good owners like you in every shelter everywhere. Go see if one picks you out. Today!

My wife asked if I had seen the dog bowl. I told her I didn't even know he could.

When I ask for a Coke, and they say Pepsi, I then say please go to the bar and get me a Jack and Coke and hold the Jack. No self respecting bar is going to serve a Jack and Pepsi.

You are not alone. My wife drinks Pepsi. Personally I do not drink soda pop.

Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up.

I buy generic stuff at Dollar Tree. $1.25 for a 2.5 liter bottle. As much of it as I drink, I'd better buy generic!!

And you know, it is now 2022. Can't we start having Coke and Pepsi in the same building??? This thing about being either a Coke house or a Pepsi house is ridiculous. I know in older days it was because of kickbacks in the form of lower pricing if they agreed to keep the competition out of the building, but it's not the old days anymore.

I remember when I was a little kid, so long ago Coke came in the little 7 ounce green tinted bottles. We were out for one of those family drives and we stopped in a little diner in some place that hadn't been discovered yet. We sat down. The girl brought menus. I knew I wanted a burger before I got the menu. My father ordered something. She came back in a minute and said they were out of it. He ordered something else. She came back in a minute and said they were out of that too. And in my father's true Bob Newhart sense of humor, he said "Tell ya what. Go back to the kitchen and just bring me a plate or bowl of whatever you still have left."

Then she asked about drinks. I ordered a Coke. When she finished taking our drink orders, I watched her go to the register, take a dime out, put it in the pop machine and get my Coke. When she brought it over I said "You know I could have done THAT..."

Even at 8, I was a smart azz....

In the eighties I met a man that worked for the Coke legal department. His job was to visit establishments that sold Pepsi. That was everything from fast food restaurants, movie houses, hotel bars and so on.

He would shop for some items and one of the items he would request was a Coke. If the server said, "I'm sorry but we offer Pepsi, is that okay?" then life was good. However, if the server said okay or brought the drink without saying anything then life was bad. He notified the legal department of the discrepancy. The establishment received a notice documenting the issue observed and a cease & desist order from Coke's Atlanta home office along with a suggestion to train their servers.

This guy told me he moved from area to area and might visit as many as 9 - 12 establishments a day.

Of course the purpose of the exercise was to prevent Coke from becoming a generic name for all colas. Pepsi has people performing the same job, they just visit places that sell Coke.

Many years ago I once drank far too much cola one evening.
I was pretty darned high for hours.
I haven't touched any cola since that evening.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
