Registered today and the first post is a very vague question. But I will assume this is a real request and not another prank.
We will need a lot more information in order to help. Things like computer CPU (Mac or PC), USB port info, keyboard controller name, audio interface name, etc. When we get this information we will be able to better help you solve this problem.
Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up. Cop, that's not how field sobriety tests work.

Also please tell us what it says in the BIAB menu Options, Preferences, MIDI Driver, MIDI Input Driver. Does your keyboard appear and can you select it?

Don't think you'd need it in this case. It can make things more complex than necessary. I don't think your keyboard makes 'sound', just sends/receives MIDI, but receiving it wouldn't mean much if it doesn't have sound.
What happens if you try the settings MusicStudent gave? If that works, Then maybe after that you can start tinkering with other routing options, but start at a baseline first and let us know. A picture of your setup (like MusicStudent showed) would go a long way to help.
Wait, which MIDI Thru doesn't show? The one at top or inside the dialogue box?

Make your sound your own! .. I do not work here, but the benefits are still awesome
The midi keyboard will only play on the "Thru Channel" in BIAB and only if you have the routing I show in the pic above. The thru channel is always present you don't "add it". My midi keyboard is sending on Channel 1. I am using MME so there is a bit of latency, but other input drivers (ASIO) may work. There is some short of trick to boost the vol to a suitable level. I forget it right now.
To get a pic to show in your post, don't use the Quick Reply option, but rather click the Reply button on a post. Then below the section where you add your reply, you'll see a File Manger section that allows sharing a screen shot (as long as it is not too large of a file size).

As a newbee to the forum, you need to have a few more "posts" before the picute upload option is available. You never told us what version of BIAB you are using? You could post that or tell us how the weather is where you are to run up your post number??
Thank you so much. I do not have a thru track showing in the mixer and I don't know how to add it?
To get tracks to show up in the mixer, click on the little 'eye' symbol in the bottom right corner of the mixer and select the tracks from the list.
The dialog that shows on MusicStudent's post is opened from: Options->Preferences->MIDI Driver or From the Misc tab MIDI->MIDI/Audio Driver Setup
Jazz relative beginner, starting at a much older age than was helpful. Kawai MP6, Korg M50, Ui24R, Saffire Pro 40. AVL:MXE Linux; Windows 11; Win8.1: Scarletts BIAB2022 UltraPAK, Reaper, a bunch of stuff.
I have some progress. I have visual input into the mixer, but no audio output. The style playback audio is fine. I'm beginning to think this is an audio sharing issue.

Still a bit in the dark until you can show us picutures of you BIAB Configurations. Can you hear midi output from BIAB?? I am guessing your answer will be - No, and you only are using RTs and hearing audio output...??

... or MIDI->Audio Generation?
On that MIDI/Audio Setup dialog, what do you have on the button mid-right where it says "VSTi/DXi Synth"?
And when you press that button, does it come up with a dialog offering a tab "sound source files"?
The defaults for these are CoyoteWT and GM.DLS and should work OK, but if you have a different synth and/or different or missing sound source file, it may not work. The Options button shows the path to the sound source file.
Edit: Addendum ... I'm running this on Linux and I sometimes get warning boxes behind dialog boxes, which may be peculiar to Linux. But ... if things don't respond, try moving dialogs aside to see if there's a pop-up behind them.

Apparently this behind-the-dialog pop-up happens on BiaB build 908 & 920 on Windows as well, but on Windows I can't move the dialog out of the way, it's locked, so BiaB is hung and needs killing with Task Manager. This is clearly a bug.

Is that "Kind of" an issue that still wants addressing?
If so, can you expand a bit?

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.
Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
Update your Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows® Today!
Update your Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows for free with build 1111!
With this update, there's more control when saving images from the Print Preview window, we've added defaults to the MultiPicker for sorting and font size, updated printing options, updated RealTracks and other content, and addressed user-reported issues with the StylePicker, MIDI Soloists, key signature changes, and more!
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
