Hey all! I'm a new owner of Band in the Box and absolutely love it. There's sure a lot to learn though - it's very overwhelming and often hard to figure out HOW to do what I want to do.
That said, I have a simple question: Is "microchords" not something that's available on the Mac version of BIB?

I think this was just introduced on the 2022 Windoze version, and the 2022 Mac version has not appeared yet. Hopefully, this feature will be present in the 2022 Mac version...

PS - what's your favorite learning resource/video/article for BIB that a beginner with the software could benefit from?

You're welcome. Hopefully BIAB 2022 for Mac will be released soon.. Good BIAB learning resources: PG Music BIAB for Mac tutorial videos: https://www.pgmusic.com/videos.bbmac.htmPG Music tutorials and how-to's: https://www.pgmusic.com/howtos.htmYou can also find lot's of info on Youtube. It's always hard to offer generic advice for learning resources - it so much depends on your background (both with computers and with music!), as well as what you are hoping to use the program for (song-writing, practicing, music production, etc.). You can learn a lot just "kicking the wheels" a bit - make a 12 bar blues in the key of C, play it as a 60 bpm slow swing, play it as a 120 bpm rock rhythm, change it to the key of A, change the number of choruses, mute some of the instruments in the mixer, explore changing the endings, explore bar settings, explore shots and holds... That should get you up and running pretty well. Good luck! Bruce

That is correct! Keep an eye out for this feature in Band-in-a-Box 2022 for Mac when it is released in late-spring or early summer of this year! We will update our site as soon as the official release date is announced.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
