I wish I never sold the guitar I did the intro on. I miss Europe and my friends there.

I try to keep everything in English on this site but perhaps you will like this.

Thanks, block-head. The vocalist is a friend of mine from Turin Italy. Her name is Stefe. Lovely voice and is a very wonderful person to work with. These are the type of songs we have done together that we just did because we like to play together. We were not really trying to create a finished piece of music, just having fun.

I have never been able to produce that same guitar tone after I sold that Anderson guitar. The Zinky amp also had a lot to do with the tone.

I don't really know to play piano but every now and then I manage something I like. There are timing issues with me being out of time with the drums but somehow it all sort of fits together in that unrehearsed off-the-cuff way that happens when we are just playing and not thinking.

I think it is way too easy to become critical of small technical issues and just enjoy the moment. Playing music with no actual goal in mind and just letting whatever happens come out is really fun for me.

Billy

VERY smooth...chords on the piano give it a very Boz Scaggs or Michael McDonald feel.
Lovely voice on top.

Hi, Billy.

Stefe sounds great here.

I wouldn't worry about only posting English stuff. A well-sung song comes across no matter what language it's in.

You might be hearing timing issue when you listen, but all I heard was a snippet of a nice song!. laugh

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

Billy,

A quality mix, the vocal really shines through, and the builds are outstanding.

There is so much to like about the creativity you have delivered. What a sensational mix. Masterful, crisp, sweet, clear. Everything sits with absolute class.

Perfection, Billy. You should be justifiably proud.

However... did you upload the full version? My listening stopped unexpectedly (abruptly?) at 2:11, just when I was becoming totally immersed.

I don't want to take up a lot of everyone's time so I will say thanks for all the kind comments from Racy, David C, and Davis S. Thanks Derochette, and best wishes that things stay stable in your part of Europe.

Then there is that Video Track guy now masquerading as Audio Track...lol Thanks Trev and sorry but this was just a short clip of who knows what. Stefe and me just messing around at three AM and had too much Italian coffee with some Grappa.

Stefe has such a beautiful voice and this is such a terrific song for her. You can write music in any language, Billy, and we can interpret it universally. You laid down the perfect accompaniment for this wonderful piece --which is abruptly short.

Enjoy whatever happens!

Hi Billy,

This is fantastic listening.

Such a smooth, smooth sound and presented with pizzazz. I love Stefe's singing.

This is is exactly the kind of music that sits perfectly with me.

All the best,
Noel

Sorry to hear about your health and wishing you full and speedy recovery.
Sounds like you were having a very good time on this jam.
The Vocalist has a pretty and powerful belting voice.
And the guitar tone is beautiful.
Enjoyed it.

Hi Billy,

Thanks - I really enjoyed the whole song - great feel.

Only slight reservation is the reverb on the vocals (which are spectacular) - how about a more intimate plate and about half the effect?
Easily and quickly done in your DAW.

Best Regards
Nigel

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
