A fine take on this cool ol' classic song...
Excellent Singin' and Bass Playin'.
Cool guitar solo too.
Love that jazzy N'Awlins groove.
Killer band...

Very cool twist on this song. Loved the New Orleans vibe. Awesome vocal and Peters guitar was perfect for the song. Excellent production Bud.

Absolutely fantastic! Love hearing Peter in there, and cool getting you into the mix also, Bud. And of course Janice nails it.

This song, as you know, has been covered by many people over the years, but for me, and I mean this sincerely, this is my favorite bar none.

Perfection!

Wow, do we ever appreciate you saying that! We tried to take it another but good place and you help us feel that it worked.

Thanks so much.

WOW! I've heard this song so many times --even shared it with others-- and I'm amazed I haven't (Successfully) commented on it here. After playing this song so many times in so many different situations over the years, it's so nice to be hearing "the original." At least in mind that is what this is. What a wonderful tribute to music. You rewrote this song as if it's the original.

Enjoy whatever happens!

I enjoyed this immensely, and the re-twisting the lyrics to the original intention. Aces all around in this production.

As others have said, you made this yours.

Probably the wildest "interpretation" I have heard. So cool what you did! Team, absolutely stunning work on all levels! Janice vocals are perfect on this. Bud, glad to see you recording upright. Excellent playing! Can't go wrong with Peter. Sax sections spice this to another level. Mix and all are top notch. Congrats!
P.S. Cool photo!

Cool, cool, cool.
Exceptional work by you three yet again.

J&B,

I never thought about how this might sound with a swing beat, but this has a good sound...it works for me! I don't remember this from 6 years ago, I must have missed it. Really great work by everyone! Thanks, Torrey

Janice, Bud and Peter,

Excellent!
Janice's vocal fits this new version of "The House of the Rising Sun" perfectly.
I've listened to the Animals and Woody Guthrie versions a lot, so these blues versions are amazing.
I realized again that American traditional songs can withstand any arrangement.
Enjoyed my listen a lot.

Best regards.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
