If you are in the USA you might want to take a look at GuitarFetish: https://www.guitarfetish.comI have a couple of their guitars and I found them to be of better quality than the one I have from Harley Benton. Plus it arrived within a week. YMMV

1) Buy used.
2) Budget guitars are WAY better now than 20 - 30 years ago. Just about anything above $300 can be made playable with a good setup. $500 - $600 is a major step up.

I then bought the humbucker version and it was the same way, no setup necessary. They both were $330 USD.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first?
