Blue Cat's PatchWork will load it and chain VSTi's that you can't do it BB.
But it's $99.

I assume your point is that the industry is moving, or has moved, to 64-bit plugins and the VST3 standard.

+1 for the 64 bit Band-in-a-Box to support the use of VST3 plug-ins.

VST3 support could be considered overdue.

+1

Try this for a free option
https://www.dropbox.com/s/qughfo4wi6rb8mz/KV_Element-Synth-FX-vst2-3.zip?dl=1
so put the .dll in your 64 bit vst plugins folder and the vst3 in you VST3 folder.
Load KV_ElementFX.dll into a BB audio/realtrack or KV_Element.dll into a BB midi track.
Both will load/Drag n Drop a vst2 or vst3 FX or instrument.
You can chain as many FX and Instruments as you like.
Ctrl+click remove connections.
Once hooked up Save Group.
EXT for host input: (sync, midi)though there is a sync issue with BB at the moment that needs fixing.
This way you can send the output of Ezkeys to Sforzando and use one of the Biab Instruments or another vst instrument like Kontakt.
Send midi output from ChordPotion to another instrument.
This will also let you have the VST gui free of the confines of the Biab VST window, having all available to edit at the same time.

PL, your input (as usual) is sensational.

I had suggested a Wishlist improvement in 2013 for a tool that showed the interconnections within the various systems.

It didn't get a huge amount of support, so I reluctantly dropped the idea.

However, your example absolutely demonstrates how useful this would be.

So you mean like a graphical representation of the midi in/out audio in/out in a flowchart ? I think that would be good.
I know when I get no sound I have to go through the settings and find where the issue is but if you could SEE it that would be good.
In MiniHost it shows the signal flow and direction with animated arrows on the connection links.
Yes if you had something like that to animated the signal flow it would help sort out issues.

Yes, that's exactly the concept.

I no longer have the original image, but the idea was to show graphically how everything was routed within the system, and possibly to highlight where issues could occur (inputs that were incorrectly connected to outputs etc). This would make setting up and configurations much easier - especially for newcomers (and me).

I had forgotten about this. BIAB 2022 hasn’t added support for VST3 plugins yet?

I only use plugins in my DAW, but I could see that making this update for BIAB could be useful for some.

+1 in 2022.

Several new plugins are only available in the VST3 format.

This will take VST3 plugins inside Biab, it will also chain VSTi that Biab can't do. You are not limited to Biab limitations. Just load the VST2 version into Biab then add whatever VST3s you like.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
