I input the melody line and chords to a song i want to learn, then practice it in different styles, however I've some styles will wipe the Notation line? Can anyone advise?

There are seven legacy tracks in BIAB 5 + 2.
The first five are dynamic and will change every time you regenerate or change styles
Bass
Piano
Drums
Guitar
Strings
The final two are static and will maintain their content regardless of generate or change in styles
Melody
Soloist
Every legacy track has notation assoicated with it. So if you don't want the notation to change when you change styles you need to place it on the Melody or Soloist tracks. If that is what you are doing and the notation changes, then we have a problem?
Think about this and we can talk more if we need to.

As MusicStudent says, but you can also "freeze" tracks and stop them from being regenerated by clicking on the "snowflake" symbol on the track in the mixer.
Jazz relative beginner, starting at a much older age than was helpful.

Yes, welcome to the forum.
This advice from Dan is the first one to follow: The final two [tracks] are static and will maintain their content regardless of generate or change in styles:
Melody
Soloist
Any other of the named instrument tracks (bass, piano, guitar, drums, strings) will be what is called Regenerated each time you change the song.
You asked "Why". This is actually a feature, to provide some variety in the BIAB backing tracks each time, but it can understandably cause confusion for a person just starting out with BIAB. To prevent that, you can Freeze the track(s) as Gordon said, or move a track to one of the Utility Tracks if you have a new version of BIAB.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
