I'm encountering an issue where when I play back a song that I've made using RealTracks, it is not consistent.
It will sound fine one time, and then the next playback at random bar the instruments will play some out of key note that sounds bad. I have to change the key of that one bar - or perhaps delete the chord and re-enter it slightly different (e.g. replace Cm with Cm7) to fix it. But then on the next playback the issue will surface on another bar that previously was fine.
Anyone else experiencing this, and if so what is the best way to resolve it?
This sounds like it is specific to a certain style or RealTrack in a specific key. Can you please freeze a song that this happens with and email it to support, and/or give us details about which style it is etc.?
Will do! When you say to "freeze" a song, is that simply saving it?
The strange thing is that the song will sound fine one time, and on the next play there is an off note in a random measure here or there. It is intermittent.
It seems to happen most often on the I-chord (e.g. an A major chord in the key of A). BIAB will sometimes play a #4 note on the I-chord (you'll hear a D# note played over an A-major chord in the key of A).
It has also happened on a iim chord (e.g. Bm in the key of A). Changing the chord to Bm7 remediated the issue.
I finally overcame this thru perseverance by doing the following steps:
Change the I-chord (e.g. A) to A2
Change the key of a V-chord (e.g. E in the key of A) to the key of E for the measure that sounds a bit off
I repeated this, chasing the new locations for the weird sounding harmony until I was able to export to AIFF format with everything working. This took 5 attempts to get it sounding right.
I can tell you that I was using the RealTrack below in the key of Em and later modulating to A. I did the proper key change in BIAB. The issue occured in both the Em and A sections.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
