Hi, as I always play my guitar tuned to 432 Hz, I want to ask for a possibility to fine tune BB 8 Hertz down. That would be great.

Hello and welcome to the forums Blaulichtschutz!
I will pass this request on to our development team and see if they can add this to a future version of Band-in-a-Box.
Best,
Jerry

Although this will not impact me I can see where others may want or need to change from 440 Hz. If this were to be implemented I would like to set the Hz to any amount and not have it only 440 Hz or 432 Hz because some pianos are tuned above 440 Hz.
So +1 for setting the Hz to settings other than just 440 Hz.
Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up. Cop, that's not how field sobriety tests work.

If this gets implemented I would like to see 442 as the upper range. My flute, for example, can be tuned that high to match whatever you throw at it. Some orchestras tune to A=442. Some percussion instruments are made at 442. Even the organ at the church where I play is at 441 (I don't know why). The point is, 440 is not the highest pitch encountered.

Yes our piano tuner has my wife's piano tuned to 432 Hz because of its age. it is over 100 years old. He also tunes the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra's piano which he says is tuned to 442 Hz. Thus a few Hz on either side of 440 Hz is the ideal change if such change can be made.

Interesting idea. A master tuning setting (semitones and cents) could be useful for sure.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
