Ok, if anyone laughs at this, my mission will be accomplished.

I had a riot doing it. I play a lot of stuff on my own here, but with real tracks I threw in everything but the kitchen sink. Then I turned it up. And yes, it may be almost as long as Freebird.

with our one and only
we're gonna get it on

yeah
we're gonna get homely
no need to be all lonely
we you can get it on
get it on at home
that's why we're being homely
oh yeah being homely at home
do it all night long
keep it going strong
and when you just can't wait no more
you might get homely on the floor

Wow.... I heard this yesterday and figured I'd come back again and have a listen again.

Nice production quality.

Musically, it sounds like some of the chords are off from the vocal path and in places out of agreement with itself.

But nothing beats a little bit of carefree self-indulgence every now and then.

What the heck happened at 4:25? Sounded like T-Pain tried to sneak on stage there for about 5 seconds. Thankfully stage security tackled him before he could wreck much Autotune havoc.

*****************redacted****************...... But it was a fun ride.

Edit: Oh wait... you said this was for fun and if people laughed it was "mission accomplished"..... So in that case.....It wasn't exactly what I'd call a laugh.... more like a cringe with a giggle..... then it dawned on me.....

Andy Warhol meets Yoko Ono in a car crash with reversed audio while bystanders toss primary colored paint and applaud the mayhem. Yeah... that was my initial reaction. My second listen and reaction was very similar minus the primary colored paint.... it was more like chartreuse red and pastel blue, perhaps even mauve. Interesting none the less and yep... good production chops on it.

One thing's for certain.... you ain't skert!

ROTFLMAO!

This could have been done if Yoko Ono and Joe Cocker had a son singing with Zappa's backup band!

Two thumbs up

Like being at a Dead concert (and the Staple Singers joined them onstage).
Very much a live-concert sound - well mixed.

Lighters lit. (doobies, too). Arms waving, bodies swaying...

Man you really made this have a live feel with the ambient crowd noise at the start! I was getting a kick out of that first minute of introductions! Hey, this tune sounds SUPER! I wish I had the creative imagination that you've got! The crowd in attendance got their money's worth that night I'm sure laugh

Thanks, Torrey

Well Herb,

Ain't you persnickety!

There are a lot of "spots" in this song I decided not to touch because I was going for the live feel. For example, on two occasions you can hear what appear to be drum sticks. I left them in. Same for that vocal feedback. I went back and listened and I doubt I will touch it. I think it is funny. The vocalist is yelling so loud he overloads the system for a sec. It's live dude!

When I decide to do a Bach chamber piece I will let you know my friend.

Until then:

Let the freebird fly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was/is fun. I like the movement of the progression.
I missed the uber reality of two people talking, just behind me, about how they love this song all the way through this song and missing this song as a consequence.
In part it sounded like those moments when the stage was overflowing on The Last Waltz.
Justine Hawkins, when asked to comment on some old rockers who weren't note perfect in their 60s n 70s, said words to the effect that a live show needs imperfect moments to prove it's real, to highlight the perfect moments and to make the fan just a little more aware that it's people doing things.

Cheers

Wow, what a live mood, nice message needs homely stadium jamming feel. Fun song going beyond expectation once again.
Powerful vocals & the gospel choir sounds amazing. The solo guitarist sounds like Prince reborn. The mix is lush and spacious!

Hahaha. Seriously, David. This is crazy good in just the way you intended. There's some excellent playing in there. Can you hear it? Only Hey, Jude is longer. Our nearest neighbor is almost a mile away. I knew the song was a hit when I got a knock on the door. When I answered, my neighbor asked, "Don't you have headphones?" Ah, I'm just kidding, David. Are neighbors are a little closer.

Seriously though, I love what you do and the carefree way in which you do it.

Enjoy whatever happens!

David,
Looks like you had a blast with this little jam. Lots of sound, but everything seems to work well together. Not as crazy as some of your tunes, but has a lot of raw energy. Fun listen. Thank you for sharing.

David,

Well now, that’s a creative production, inventive, and must have been a ton of fun to put together. The gospel BGV’s are just killer out of the gate. Definitely has a cool live feel to it . . . ingenious production. Well done!

All my best,

Deej

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
