I don't know about you guys but I often get sick of the sound of my own voice...fortunately (PTL!) I was given a songbird to live in my house and she has been singing for me and with me for over forty years...my daughter Amber sings the lead vocal in this pop/country/gospel song I wrote for her too many years ago...this is a new remastered version of some of the old tracks mixed with some new BiaB ones...so...if you do...thanks for listening...love your comments and suggestions...Dan

Sick of the sound of your voice? I find that hard to believe (with such a great voice laugh )

Anyway, talent clearly runs in the family. This is masterfully done. Eagles level (and that should tell you something).

Very nice Dan. Your daughter Amber has a fantastic voice and she sings very well. The vocals really stand out on this, as does the mix. You have such a full sound, and the back vocals blend so well together with the lead. Sounds like it was made in a Nashville studio - impressive!

Would never get sick of your singing voice. Having said that I would never get sick of hearing her voice as well. What a talented singer. Beautiful song. Well done...

Brad...thanks for your thoughts...I just wished Amber lived closer now and had more spare time...she just adopted a set of ten year twins..so doesn't have much time to sing for grandpa...but it's a good trade off...thanks again...Dan

Your daughter has a beautiful voice and y’all sound great together.
I (Janice) have one recording of my Mama singing with me and it is one of my treasures.

Everything sounds great.

ALL of your instrumental performances along with your harmony and your daughter's vocal sit nicely in the mix.
Great soundstage on our monitors.

Well done!

Dan,

I highly doubt that anyone in the forum could possibly be tired of hearing your voice! You produce, imo, some of the very best vocals presented here! With that being said, I must say that Amber delivered a truly professional performance on a beautiful song with such a great message! Someone mentioned the Eagles as a comparison, and the song does have that vibe. It's kind of got a New Kid In Town sound to it, but those guys couldn't have done any better on this track! Excellent work on every part of this!

Thanks, Torrey

Janice...thank you for your kind words...yes there's nothing like singing with your family...I have been blessed in that manner on many occasions to sing on stages with my children and other family members...in fact the first group I ever sang and traveled with was with my brother and three cousins called "The Cousin's Five" long before the "Jackson Five" by the way smile

Hey Torrey...thanks for your comments and thoughts...what I meant was I love to hear others sing and/or record the songs more than doing it myself...listening to my own voice on demos gets old for me...but to hear Amber or Ian (my son) or some other of my gifted friends sing and interpret a song I've written is my dream come true...and I have to feel that other writers feel the same...shamefully, I have instructed others how to sing them and squelched some of their artistic license at times frown hey thanks for your gracious comments (especially the Eagles stuff)...Dan
