As the subjext line indicates, whenever I try to record any audio either vocal or audio, (through my Focusrite Pro 40 Interface) into BinAB and when i finish, an error msg comes up in the yellow pop up screen Error Mesage -50. Obviously there is nothing on the playback.
The notes in he mixer window indicates "Stereo 32 bit" in orange print.
I've been online to try and find out more info but not so successful.
Hoping you can help

...never... except... I'd suggest you continue your previous recording process and use the BIAB DAW plugin to deal with BIAB...a gentler learning gradient.

Is there more to the error message, other than just "error -50"?
Does this happen every time?
Since the track name on the mixer is orange, that means some audio exists. Can you go to the Audio Edit window and see if it looks like there is some kind of audio actually recorded or is it just digital silence?
What build of Band-in-a-Box do you have? You can find by going to Help > About Band-in-a-Box.

It seems that I can get the signal from the Focusrite into the BinaB.
Not sure if I have to use some type of plugin to record into the program?
As mentioned, I can record throught my DAW, but this is something that is an option for me to record.

So you do see activity on the input side of the VU Meters window?
1. go to Options > Preferences 2. click on Audio Settings 3. click on Audio Devices 4. under Audio Input Device, what does it say? In particular, I am curious about the end of the line. For example, in my screen shot, it ends with [0,1]
Good news and bad news and some new things to try.
The Good: I got it to work. The input was weak but it did record and with playing with the input volume settings, it will be fine.
The Bad. I don't know what I did, but I have an idea. I believe that it may have something to do with the order I fire up my system, Computer, Focusrite, Logic and Band in a box.
I had this issue a few years ago. I couldn't get any sound via Logic. An apple instructer advised me to fire up the Focusrite first and then the computer, then Logic. Problem solved. Now I'm adding the Band into the mix which may have something to do with it. Weak I know but it's the only thing I can come up with especially when all the setting appear to be correct in BinaB.
Le tyou know.
