Hey guys...I love me some dobro (resonator guitar) and BiaB has some great players...I've used it quite a bit and this is my favorite resonator song (of mine)...this was one of my first BiaB recordings back in 2016 when I first started using the program...sure glad I did...in fact it's old enough that I could not find the original BiaB tracks...I wrote the song in 1988 just after the death of my father...I hope you all like it...so...if you do...thanks for listening...love your comments...Dan

I guess we missed it in 2016, but it sure is a great track Dan.

Your signature sound. It's one of the best vocals on the forum.

I can guess why it went to #1 Dan. Lovely lyric. I lost my dad in 1990. Very sad time indeed. Beautiful vocal and perfect backtrack. Well done...

What a pretty song Dan. I love the way you put it together and the mix was perfect in my ears. As is often mentioned, you have a fantastic voice and your mixes are so consistently perfect. I also love that dobro sound, and agree that Biab has some great dobro tracks to choose from. You sure used it well here. I'm glad you were able to share such a hopeful feeling in such a painful time, and here, years later it still lasts. Brad

Dan, God gave you an enormous amount of talent and you are using those talents to the max when you sign praises to him.

Another brilliant song.

Loved it.

Yes, I'm with you on appreciating the reso players PGMusic gets. I use them to overuse. Here, however, you use that one so perfectly. Man, if you played me this song for me without it, I wouldn't've recommended the resonator, but now wouldn't want to hear it without it.

Man, I love this song, Dan. Third listen now, and I'll be back for more. Your vocals, including the harmony, always brings out all of the magic of your lyrics. Always so very uplifting. Inspirational, Dan.

Enjoy whatever happens!

firesong,

You always do such a nice job on the production and arrangement for your songs—no exception here. Vocal resonates, and that nice acoustic guitar behind really puts some firm flesh behind the bone of this song. Lovely song—well done!

All my best to you,

Deej

Excellent vocal, great backing (especially the dobro), subtle harmonies, good write.

It's all good.

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

Ok, first thing: what a VOICE. Second thing: what beautiful writing. Love the guitar, too. I needed a peaceful song, tonight, and I'm grateful to have heard this one. Thank you. You have a great talent - keep using it, that's why it's there, of course :-) Well done, sincerest congratulations.
