It does seem that they've now all but perfected the implementation of the very concept which many on here have been suggesting PG could've (should've!) done ages ago. It even promises to include 'Unique' Soloists! KETRON 'EVENT' And for some proper audio examples: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mKuAXBlnQeQ

So what you are saying is: 'watch this space' ?
It does look interesting. I'd like to see more about how it is used in an actual situation, programmed, setup etc.

I'd like to see more about how it is used in an actual situation, programmed, setup etc. So would I, the information so far is annoyingly sparse! But if people want to chip in on the 'space watch', the instigator for the buzz appears to come from here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCdnwWxSp3kBp2RHUFgDSYEA

https://www.pgmusic.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=735143#Post735143Here's your Biab Live Arranger playing wma direct https://www.dropbox.com/s/g28fd8zss4me8h8/Biab-Live-Arranger-WMA.mp4?dl=0 you just need to put it in an easy programmed crossplatform language so you don't spend half the year on Win and the other half on Mac. It just needs to be basic without all the Biab features. When the user loads a style it just loads all the track data for those RTs and plays the user's chord input back direct from the wma/wav source file sections that are referenced in the data. Or you can just wait till Yamaha do it. Or you can just wait till Yamaha do it.The "Realtracks inside a keyboard" concept, now a reality(?) It does seem that they've now all but perfected the implementation of the very concept which many on here have been suggesting PG could've (should've!) done ages ago. It even promises to include 'Unique' Soloists! KETRON 'EVENT' And for some proper audio examples: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mKuAXBlnQeQ I have seen so many posts posted here for years showing PG clearly how this can be done, but the response from PG has been "we can't do this with Biab because of old users with old computers" or zero response at all that is most of the time, so the technology must not surpass that of old user's hardware, so basically stay 20 years behind ? Other companies come here to get ideas that are posted here and they implement them long before PG ever get around to it, I have seen this over n over. I have seen PG delete posts that clearly outline issues where users are trying to help to make it better. So if you tell the truth you get cancelled. You don't get this on the Reaper forum where users can openly criticize and not get cancelled. You need to appreciate constructive criticism, so speak up and "engage" with users and not take them for granted. As been stated there is so much info that has been posted here clearly showing how well it works way better in speed and ease giving way more control, way ahead of how Biab has been working and is currently working but just seems to fall on deaf ears with zero engagement from PG, I can see how this can be very discouraging for users. PG needs to spend time away from Biab on other software, see how it works, how smooth and easy things are etc.. rather than being stuck in a bubble. Other users need to study whats been posted and try it out for themselves and not wait years for PG to hold their hand and give them the OK. This may well be another post that gets deleted

AjamSonic is the US distributor for Keytron. +++ AjamSonic Website +++ and +++ Ketron America Website +++Ketron has a short "coming soon" type video on the +++ Ketron +++ website. Rumor is the Event arranger keyboard suggested retail price will be between $5,000 to $6,000 US. You can buy a LOT of PG Music products for that kind of money.

.... You can buy a LOT of PG Music products for that kind of money. Well sure (although that overlooks the yearly upgrades)... but once something like the above is out, you no longer have to. I mean: - BBox would not top my list of a DAW - BBox would not top my list of a MIDI editor - BBox would not top my list of a Notation tool I already got better solutions for each of those, as I'm sure most of you do. No, the thing that makes BBox stand out is the realism of sound. And if I can get that in a simpler way than BBox gives me, like inside a keyboard, I absolutely would! So when I decided to share that "little news nugget", I did so with the assumption that I was bringing good news, not the opposite (let alone open the door for some angry PG-bashing, for that matter). I for one, have been hoping for something like this ever since PG introduced Realtracks, and I don't really care what company gets there, as long as someone does.

It all looks really good but one also needs to be able to play and control the device. It sounds really good when the right person is handling the instrument.
How an instrument is played and how the effects such as expression or controllers for vibrato are handled and the actual timing of the player makes a huge difference.
A device like this in my hands would still sound like some goose trying to use a keyboard. In others hands it could be totally different with the odd person really making it all sound “real”.
With BIAB I can take my time and make parts sound good then mix the parts and use them in a live show along with my guitar. I will never be able to do that on a keyboard no matter how good the individual instruments.
Edit: as an example listen to Ruben of HiFiMidi play an AmpleSound Guitar on a keyboard it actually sounds good. (Better than I can get it after a heap of programming). My timing is so bad it still sounds like a clunky keyboard if I use a keyboard.
That is not to say I don’t like the technology it is brilliant.
My thoughts
Tony

Of course, any tool is always about its handler before anything else, your guitar included. So likewise, me on your guitar would be like plucking out the whiskers of a cat one by one!

You did bring good news. I believe Ketron has manufactured great sounding products for many years. At least in the US, Ketron's issues are sales distribution and after the sale product support.

Update: The above mentioned 'AjamSonic' has now issued this official statement (found on their YT channel, nota bene) - "About $4,999.00 USD in the USA". I don't know about others, but that seems a lot less than I at least was expecting, not far off from the initial Genos prices if memory serves, give or take a tuesday

Don't get me started What is the chance that PG will release this at the end of the year (for Win first at least, if it's not multi platform) ? 0....100% ??? if = 0 then 1....10 years from now ? if > 10 then 11....20 years from now ?

When do you think Band In A Box will have the option to play live??? I want to take my macbook, connect it to a keyboard and play as if I'm playing on a One Man Band keyboard!! (Yamaha Tyros, Korg PA ect..) The technology is there, computers are very fast and there is no reason why Band In A box won't have this option!!! I have a OMB keyboard, but I travel a lot and renting a OMB keyboard is not always possible everywhere. it will help a lot if I will be able to rent any keyboard whatsoever, connect it to my macbook, and play live with the Band In A Box. It's the same with Main Stage software, I have a synth, but when I travel, I use the Main Stage as my synth. If Main Stage has succeeded making it possible to have a real workstation synth in the computer, why not Band In A Box???? People are still buying synthesizers and will continue buying One Man Band keyboards..
It will be a game changer for the live music industry and to you guys in PGmusic!!!!
I'm sure there are thousands of musicians who will agree with me.
Think about it
Thanks

And to anyone wondering just how versatile such an arranger keyboard might actually be: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLpxukSgQFMN4AjlI2gKNy_Tm_-4a8x6pW
