I use shift+enter to play chords. I can play "2m" or "1" But I can't play "5" Then my question is, can I click to select "5", and then use shift+enter to play chords
Yes. Let me try to be more clear, and if I'm misinterpreting your request, let me know.
In the BIAB Chordsheet, in a song of 4/4 time, one measure has two cells, and you can press Tab to move from one cell to the next. What you highlighted is the first half of measure 44, which is one cell.
In a single cell in BIAB (and let's omit the Microchords for this discussion), you can enter two chords separated by a comma. Then you press Tab and go to the second cell in that same measure and enter two more chords also separated by a comma. Let's also leave out pushes from this discussion, and call these four chords (in two cells, or in one measure) beats 1, 2, 3, and 4.
To my knowledge, you can preview the sound of beat 1 and beat 3 using Shift+Enter. Your request is to be able to preview the sound of beat 2 and beat 4. Another way to say that is, you want to be able to preview the second chord in a cell.
Is that what you are requesting?

I have no idea if implementing this would play havoc with all previous songs, but yes, I would like to have four 'entry areas' in a single cell that represents a single measure (assuming 4/4 time, and forgetting for a moment about Microchords that could still exist for fine-tuning). I assume a song in 3/4 would have only three 'entry areas' per measure etc.
Having this would not only allow you to preview (Shift+Enter) the chords on beats 2 and 4 that you cannot do now, but also this would make data entry more standardized with other music software where each beat is separate. One of the first questions new users ask requires us to explain about using the comma for chord entry. Why throw up this roadblock?

As I mentioned in the other post, your design has merit and is definitely worthy of some consideration. You just need to double the number of chord positions to 16, which then would match what is available through the micro-chords function.

I think you may have missed what I was saying, but I do agree with this idea. As AudioTrack suggested, make a new picture with 16 chord positions per measure. We can give that a bunch of +1 ratings.

Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up. Cop, that's not how field sobriety tests work.

If you can have a linear view of the chords it would be good. Whatever snap setting you are on that is where the chord goes 1/4 1/8 1/16.
You could even have a main chord lane and a micro chord lane as the audio edit window allows zoom+- so you can see whereas the chord sheet just stacks the chords that are hard to see.
OMG the app below in the pic has shaded background root & chord notes in the piano roll I thought there were all meant to be one shade of white. I hope you got your EnChroma® glasses Mario
Could you work with a single chord track in the Audio Edit window ? This might be easier for them to implement as you can zoom in to add 1/16 chords and they will display as micro chords in the Chord Sheet and linear chords in the Audio Edit.
This is for Micro Chords 1/16 or 1/4 chords they will all play when you choose:

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
