Jam-1-01

Note that this is just a jam so if you don't like jams we might want to skip this one.

This is a jam that BobH and I did a couple of weeks ago. We had our guitars plugged into my DAW and we recorded this. I was facing BobH and following his chord progressions. This was adlib and totally spontaneous. I later added my fretless bass part and strings.

I did a minimal amount of work in Melodyne to correct a couple of bad notes.

Strings BiaB style = Fedility MIDI - Pop Strings Ballad
Adding the strings took a lot of time, as I had to match the BiaB chords to our chords via my DAW and then rewrite a number of areas to better fit the jam.

Note that this does have a few warts and buzzing strings but we thought it might be worth sharing so let us know what you think, good or bad.

PS - Don't ask about the title. I have no idea why I titled this as I did shocked

Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up.
Cop, that's not how field sobriety tests work.

Thanx Dan. I do like both kinds of jams! Yep, BobH and I always have a good time just about every Sunday.

Thanx so much Scott. I wasn't sure that I should post this or not as it is just an open jam so I'm glad that you liked it.

I always enjoyed jams soooo much more than gigs!

Nice performances guys ... but, hey, can the word jam and the time of 2 minutes occupy the same space? smile

Mellow, smooth and most cool.

Keep having that fun!

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
