Very relaxing. You did a great job with the lap steel VST. I find getting the steel VST just so is very difficult. You have managed it here.
If you don’t mind me asking which lap steel VSTi did you use?
Once again nice job.

Is this what Santa usualy does? Sleepwalking? In our country we have another Santa (Sinterklaas), who celebrates his birthday on the 5th of december. He is also very old. But he can't do a sleepwalk, because he is riding on roofs on a white horse. To dangerous and also no presents for the kids...
So this song, although very nice/sweet, is not good for our Santa. But it is for me. I enjoyd the sound, the build up and the effect the steel guitar has on me. I'm very at ease now...

Santo and Johnny were a favorite of mine back in the day and my wedding band played Sleepwalk many times. It was a fan favorite.

Tony Thanx Tony. Actually it was a very easy track to create. I used the Indiginus lap steel VST: https://www.indiginus.com/the-steel-electric-lap-steel-guitarThe articulations you heard were created via velocity; high velocity did slides up, low did slides down, and a neutral range velocity added no articulations. It was very easy to obtain a realistic sounding lap steel using this VST.

Hans Hans my friend you misread my statement. I said Santo and not Santa. Santo was part of the team Santo and Johnny and they did a song called Sleepwalk: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2rwfqsjimRMI'm glad that you liked the song.

Mario...the lap steel is very convincing and played so well...getting good sounding guitar work from a keyboard is a real challenge I know...very relaxing and mesmerizing feel...good job as usual...you're the master of the MIDI!

Mario, This is great! So relaxing. Me being a pedal steel player I am in love with the sound. It is absolutely amazing what you get out of your keyboard. This very convincing. I always loved Sleepwalk. Oh yeah I'm that old, Tom

Mario,
It's a very relaxing song. The rap steel makes it sound like a country song, but the chord progression is a little more complicated. It's surprising that you can express the sound of lap steel with your MIDI keyboard. Enjoyed my listen a lot.
Best regards.

Hi Mario. I remember Santo and Johnny playing on our first TV. Monochrome, one channel only. I loved "Sleepwalk" and it's quite an accomplishment to get that sound on a keyboard.

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!
For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.
Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.
Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!
Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.
Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
