Very good choice of instrumentation, good vocals and a really, really good mix.
2 thumbs up!

Drums. That's funny, Marty! Last year was a weird year coming out of the pandemic where kids learned from home for a year. they came back to the building and didn't know how to behave anymore.

Interesting lyrics, like from a movie, I can imagine all weird things that can happen during school days.
Nice funky rhythm, good selection of instruments, reminds me of Talking Heads.
Nicely effected vocals and enjoyable chording in the chorus part.
Funnily different bridge part.
I'm sure your colleagues will love it smile

Hi Ezekiel,

Quite a different song from your hand. Very funky and with a wonderful chorus!
I do like it and of course the story behind it too.
Don't know what I had done if a little **** weas sitting in my car, although both my boys are doing that regularly.
I have to ask them (very) politely if I might use my car on a certain day.
And of course I have to pay for the petrol too... So, something is terribly wrong here.
But your song ain't. It's a very good one. I agree a bit with Ray on the 'bridge'. But that's a matter of taste.
Your vocals are great, as always!

As others mentioned the hook really works well and gets stuck in your head. Plus the way you sing it and those harmonies there paint a vivid picture of the scene and the look on the teacher’s face. The opening verse had Janice envisioning her tenth grade trigonometry teacher.

Great band and mix to go along too. We enjoyed this a lot!

I admire creativity and this is creative. At places your vocals reminded me of David Bowie . . . a compliment.
Chord progression, percussion, instrument choice all top shelf!

I could see a teacher really getting pissed-off at such a little ***** such as this. Absent psychiatric problems, the kid is lucky the rattan cane is no longer used.

Thank you, Thumper! Ahhhh, the good old days of caning. :-0

Ha!

You've got a nice vibe hear, and a cool sound to boot.

The Mint Guitar is on sale for Black Friday and on my "To Get" list. smile

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

Thanks, David. I think you'll like Electric Mint. I just bought Lores and Prime Bass. Can't beat those price cuts this week.

Ezekiel's Storm,

Great guitar sound!
Certainly, if I don't know the backstory, I won't be able to understand the lyrics well.
The melody really matches the lyrics.
I love that "Get Out of My Car" is repeated over and over again.
Enjoyed my listen a lot.

Best regards.

The best stories are the real ones. Adventures at schools are some of the funniest. This is a good write, arrangement, performance and production. The vocals are stellar.
