Very cool David. Cool vocal and lyric. Very impressive technology. I can only imagine the work involved in the timing of the phrasing. Well done. Cool flute synth solo as well...

Really smooth and well arranged backing. The flute solo leapt forward a bit but that settled quickly. Hi, Ray. I'll have another listen to the flute and perhaps take the volume down a bit at the start. I did notice that some of the polysyllabic syllable words sounded a little rushed - or, rather were words I'd have chosen to extend I'll have another listen. I was initially going for a feel of a poorly translated song, so a slightly stilted sound made sense. And it's sort of grown on me since then. The plugs seem good - the bass became boomy in the louder sections. Interesting, I'll listen for that, too. That particular voice seems to suit an anodyne arrangement. "Anodyne" is both a fun word and an appropriate one for my writing style! Thanks for listening and the feedback!

David,The synth vocals are outstanding; if I had the patience and skill you posses I might try them. If you can deal with piano roll notation, you'd do fine. It's mostly a matter of being motivated, as the results are cool, but there's the irritation of having to buy and learn Yet Another Tool. The melody is cool;perfect for the genre and I think the flute RT is about the best I`ve heard. Thanks! I appreciate you taking the time to listen and give feedback!

I´m truly awed by your mastering of music and synth vocals! Hi, Dani. It's not me that you should be awed at - these tools are getting very impressive. I keep running into demos by other people who do truly amazing things with this program. Cheers ...and Happy Holidays too! Thanks! Happy Holidays to you as well.

Good song is a good song, regardless of vocalist or effects. And this is a good song Hi, Janne. Thanks! I would prefer less effects on the vocal track to bring the vocal little bit closer, but that is matter of taste. Otherwise, the new reverb worked well in my ears. Yeah, how far back to place the vocal is a struggle for me. Thanks for the kind words!

Very cool David. Cool vocal and lyric. Very impressive technology. Thanks, Scott! Cool flute synth solo as well... I should mention that's the BiaB flute, not something I did myself. I patched it together from multiple takes. Thanks for stopping by!

David, nice song. I really love your mixes and the arrangements in this one are fantastic too. I love that flute!

David,
A pleasant BAND, a nice musical bed for the synth voice. Mix sounds good (the Bass is slightly boom-y in earbuds).
The vocals are pleasant, too. They sometime come across as "too perfect" (too exact?). Part of that impression comes from the movement and cadence of the melody (which made my ear "follow" the voice instead of simply "listening" to it - if that makes sense)
Nice re-do.

We listened to the original 2015 version first, and although it is good, this one is better! Eleanor’s voice is really good. You are a master at this. Reading how you accomplish it is head spinning. We (both of us) enjoy reading about the magic of what you do. The double reverb on the flute is something I've never considered on a track. It sounds good indeed. Bud is fond of the EMT 140 reverb sim in Nectar. And we note that you are using BB Tubes. We just got it -- Tom Adams is using it extensively. This is a delightful bossa tune in every way! As Janice says Bossa's are happy J&B

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
