Load Reastream vst into Biab on the first track set the identifier 1 (each track different 1,2,3,4 etc..) and set it to Send > *local broadcast set the identifier the same for the corresponding REAPER track and set it to Receive, put a gain control or 2 after the ReaStream vst in BB so BB makes no sound only REAPER https://www.bluecataudio.com/Products/Product_GainSuite/ or LoudMax it's lighter than Bluecat but you may need 2 to cut the volume off, then chain up the FX in REAPER. Turn any reverb or tone in the BB mixer off. You can set REAPER to loop play if you have no sound. If you need to run multiple ASIO https://www.vb-audio.com/Voicemeeter/banana.htm EDIT: In Reaper Preference > Audio you can set it Always On by unchecking, see pic below.
I haven't worked out midi with ReaStream I think that is just Biab doesn't have midi plugin chain, so to send midi for Mac you can use midiOut.dll Click the Softpedia Secure Download (US) link not the external, for Win https://www.dropbox.com/s/ifc0waq0qdusb3z/midiOut.zip?dl=1 and use LoopMidi and set it to LoopMidi Out then set Reaper track to LoopMidi In, for Mac just create a virtual midi cable.
The first time you set this up would be time consuming. But once you save it all next time will be quick.
On each BB track in the VST window Save each track FX with Save Group. In REAPER just save it as a default BB FX project. You can setup Track 1 ReaStream 1 with a different set of FX Track 2 ReaStream 1 with a different set of FX Track 3 ReaStream 1 with a different set of FX
Track 4 ReaStream 2 with a different set of FX Track 5 ReaStream 2 with a different set of FX Track 6 ReaStream 2 with a different set of FX .... .... and the same for the other ReaStreams then you just solo the track that you want to use for each track send from Biab.
So you have REAPER running each time you start Biab, after you have the Biab song generated open the VST window and Load Group for each track: Track 1 Reastrem 1.tgs Track 2 Reastrem 2.tgs Track 3 Reastrem 3.tgs Track 4 Reastrem 4.tgs Track 5 Reastrem 5.tgs
Once it's all sounding good and you have the tracks how you want them just drag export each track into the corresponding REAPER track and Render.
As there is no ReaStream for Mac AUNetSend and AUNetReceive that comes with Mac will do the same job. Also: VST3 version of system-supplied Mac OS X AUNetSend audio plugin https://github.com/vgorloff/VST3NetSend though using it with Biab you would have to load/drag it in KV Element
Resurrecting an old thread for a related question.
Instead of streaming externally, could you use KV Elements (or Patchworks) to host a multi-timbral, multi-audio output VSTi and Reastream to take individual tracks back to the BIAB mixer master channel?
The purpose would be to individually process those VSTi individual outputs while arranging in BIAB ... assuming that it would also be possible to instantiate plugins between the KV Elements audio outputs and the BIAB mixer using KV ElementsFX or some similar solution.
the Drums are sending to stereo 2 through FX the guitar is sending to stereo 3 through FX all other tracks are sending to stereo main all goes to Biab Master.
This is great. The only thing I didn't understand is routing via Utility #1.
I see Elements is instantiated on Utility #1, but I don't understand how on the MIDI tracks the plugin window show <(Utility #1):Kushview> already present before you reroute.
How do you do that step?
Also, FWIW, could the same thing be done with Patchwork?
I've downloaded Elements, but I haven't had time to install and give it a run.
I must say I really, really appreciate you going far. far above and beyond in helping me. I don't know what all you do, but you should get yourself a Youtube channel and become the David Bennett of Computer Audio Routing.
You just need to Re-Route the midi style tracks manually from the Default Synth to Element. You maybe able to create an AutoHotkey script to set all midi tracks to the Element track. The Util track was "Save group" to C:\bb\DX Settings\A Halion Element.tgs
You should be able to do it with BlueCat but I didn't try it, users wanted something cheaper than BlueCat so I found Element and it's easier to see what you are doing.
Yes it was already done. So if I open a new midi style I go to the Utility track FX and Load group (this is the Saved group with Element and Halion with the FX on it's audio outs). Then I Re-Route each midi track to the Utility Element.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
