I urgently need a global 10 channel equalizer that is not assigned to the song but to the program.
Every time I open an unknown or new song, I have to assign the EQ plugin to the master track first. This is annoying.
Unless there is an equalizer that works in the background of Windows for the whole pc and especially as audi output for BIAB pre to the audio device driver?
Please think about it.

Many greetings
Thomas

https://vb-audio.com/Cable/index.htm

install vb cable or hifi cable

set Biab Audio Device to MME Audio Drivers to Output VB Cable

set Reaper Audio Device to Direct Sound

set Input Device to VB Cable

set Output Device to your audio device

put a new track in Reaper and arm it to record

set track Input to Stereo Left\Right

set IN to Record: Input(force stereo)

EDIT: set Record Monitoring On

load 10 band in the track FX

if you don't have Reaper you could use https://www.hermannseib.com/english/vsthost.htm

or you can just use voicemeeter
Voicemeeter has an EQ but only 6 band.

You can set Hardware Input 1 to VB Cable

Hardware Input 2 to HiFi Cable

Hardware Output to you Audio Device

Click EQ on output sliders to activate and right click to adjust.

You can set Biab to MME VB Cable or HiFi Cable

or you cant set Biab to Voicemeeter ASIO or AUX ASIO

Wow thats simple... ;-)
Thank you. I will try.

A virtual audio cable should do it.
Nice idea.

But it would be perfect, if BIAB would have a master EQ at all.

Another way is to (1) open Band-in-a-Box, (2) select the Plugins tab on the audio mixer, (3) select the "Seeing Eye" button, (4) enable the Master track, (5) add a ten band equalizer to the first Master track plugin slot and (6) Use keyboard shortcut Alt+F2 to open the Save the song file with Patches and Harmonies. (7) Uncheck all instrument boxes. (8) Give the song file a name like "10 Band EQ".

You've created a song template that has your 10 band eq on the master track.

Open the template song file and the 10 band eq should load with the file.

@Jim Not what I wanted. Thats only for my own songs.

I have now solved it with fxsound.
Through this program I can redirect the entire PC.
And call other preferences if necessary.
This now works for BIAB, Ableton live, Reaper, Spotify and Youtube for me.

Genos,

I'm happy you found a program that works for you. Thank you for taking time to let everyone know you found a solution. I hope you will take time to return to your initial post in this thread and click on the "Resolved" button. That will help people searching for answers to a question like yours.

Is +++ THIS +++ the correct link to the fxsound program you found?

Yes, link is correct.
But it works only with MME not with ASIO.
So I try to find an EQ program that works for audio.
My initial post is not resolved, because this is the wishlist.
And my wish is actual ;-)

It doesn't work for ASIO. I'm interested to know: Does it work for WAS?

Genos,
Interesting idea. I’ll discuss it with some of the developers.

Have Fun!

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
