I changed the output device in my audio preferences, now I get:
Windows Audio Session error: Input and output sample rates must match. Audio input (recording) will be disable. The error number is -9997.
Suggestions or referrels to tutorial video, etc.?

best bet is to post settings pics so us users and pg support can see whats going on .
we dont even know your brand of sound interface.
pics needed.
1. bb driver settings.
2. if your sound device has a user control panel..
a pic of settings.
3. pics of your windows recording and playback dialogues
includeing (IMPORTANT) >> advanced tab which shows bit depth//sampling rate.
with above detailed info it makes things easier to debug.
i would also advise, if never done, reading up on 'optimising a music production pc' << can google and/or
you tube and/or here on the pg forums are links to articles.
ps also would help IF by the reaper X with reaps open
you posted the info. its another clue.

In addition to the post AudioTrack pointed at, I will add also that it only matters if you will actually be recording audio in Band-in-a-Box. So you don't necessarily need to do anything.

Good solution. I haven’t wanted to record within BIAB lately, but I may want to soon, so I’ll probably try the solutions given to me by the kind folks who submitted them.
How do I post phots in the forum, by the way?

Also, don't use the Quick Reply option. You can only add an image through the normal Reply or New Post options.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first?
