Great job.

Hi Bass Thumper ...

Many thanks! I wish I had even half of hus vocal chops - just enough rasp with solid undertones. And his voice didn't thin in the higher registers.

I appreciate the really nice comments. Take care ...

Hi Marty ...

Thank ya! I like this style of Blues, also. The lead melody isn't overly busy, but carries just the right punch to get it from measure to the next with a full sound. Thart was my goal with this one. I think I might have comer close to succeding. Glad you enjoyed the song and the attitude.

Best to you ...

Your song definitly is! What a great sounding song you made. Very catchy, especially the solo.
You are getting close to Gary now (let's forget for a moment you weren't playing the guitar...)

Enjoyed it all and glad you are back. I missed you and your comments!
And best wishes to Di,

Hans

Thanks, Hans ...

And yes, I'm doing better. I'm glad you liked this one. I've been a Gary Moore fan for a long time. The lead guitar RT was easy to work with. Thanks aghain for the nice words and well wishes! Wishing you the very best ...

HI Tom ...

I agree. I think if the drums are produced correctly, they can set more up front and give many songs a nice edge without being overbearing. As far as achieving the Gary Moore sound, the hardest part was getting the delay right. His delays were short but very conspicuous. They didn't trail very long - one measure didn't appreciably intrude on the next.

Glad you enjoyed it - thanks for letting me know.

Best to you ...

Alan

Hi Alan,

Good song and mix.

No - the lead guitar is the perfect volume in this mix.

Gary Moore would have been +2Db

I was waiting for the powerhouse vocals.

Best Regards
Nigel

Hi Nigel ...

Thank you very much! Uh ... you wouldn't hang around long if I attempted a powerhouse vocal. You would would think a cement mixer was stripping it's gears! But if I had even a smidgeon of your vocal abilities, I'd never quit singing.

Glad you enjoyed it!

Alan

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

Hi Alan,

Sorry to hear you were ill, but happy that you are well and posting music again!

I'm a huge Gary Moore fan, and you captured his feel and tone with this one, nice job!

Drums are perfect BTW, snare is doing exactly what it should IMHO.

Hello Al
You wrote a really good song.
The guitar solo by BiaB is excellent.
Especially because it plays so long.
Is sometimes a problem with Biab
But in your song it sounds great !!!
REALLY great work Al
Many greetings
Andi ;-)

Alan,

I'm glad that you are feeling better and are back to recording.
Great blues rock.
Your RealTracks selection is always great.
I can definitely see you wondering whether or not to tighten the snare.
But I think you were right to make it tight.
Enjoyed my listen a lot.

Best regards.

What a great moody blues you’ve given us with your return!

You captured the Gary Moore vibe so well and we love him and were just watching some old YouTube videos of him a few nights ago.

Welcome back!

It's good to have you back!

The drums sit right for me. You made the right choice in returning them to what you had.

This has a strong cinematic feel, and soars and glides along nicely.

Alan,
Glad you are on your feet!
This is a VERY good tune. So much power. The guitar work is perfect. Loved it!
Mix is great, but I do hear some kind of phasing effect on the drums. Might be just me hallucinating.
Mood is just right. Amazing effort! Thank you for sharing.

Misha.

Hi Tom ...

For me, drums and bass can make or break a song. Bass has drive and drums have attitude. The tone was most the way PG Music recorded it - did did only a slight amount of tone adjustment. But i did work with the delay for quite some time. I adjusted it pretty wet but short in duration.

Thanks so much! Best to you!

Alan

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
