The whole reason I posted in the "Complete rewrite of the program. Seriously" that has since been deleted is to show how you could have the Win & Mac version released at the same time rather than having to spend 6 months on each unlike other companies that release Win/Mac apps at the same time. I'm sure most users could make do with the GUI interface as it is but it don't solve the Win/Mac release date equality issues. Like it is something you will indeed eventually have to do, it's not some weird obscure idea. The suggestion is to make things better as Cerio intended, as he has given up like me has left the forum before through frustration.
A lot of users may report the issues then give up with it never to be seen again. Someone in another forum told me they purchased the BBPlugin and could not get it to work right so gave up all together with it, that hurts me to hear that, maybe it don't bother PG but it's a common story, again I liken it to Gordon Ramsay Kitchen Nightmares scenareo.
You shouldn't cancel people with ideas that may shake things up with a few truth bombs or undiplomatic statements especially about "time signatures". Maybe like before apple will force your hand into change, wouldn't it be good to be ahead of this not a mad rush when it happens to then do it.
You have these wonderful world class session players and wonderful musical programming that pieces it all together underneath the interface and old restriction from the DOS days that let's them down as to what it's potential could be.
You have the talent in the session players and the musical programming side but as the BIABguy said "just bring in new faces and fresh ideas" to give talent to the GUI interface design, and he is not just anyone he is a "BIAB"guy.
Sure you can wing it and get away with it maybe for some more years but it don't do it justice.
I don't say it all for selfish means, I don't use Mac anymore but it would be fair to give Mac users the same thing at the same time.

I had really high hopes for the plug-in version but because of a number of issues I haven't looked at it in a couple of years. I went gone back to using the main BiaB version. I also think and have said many times it is time for a complete rewrite. BiaB is the only software program that I have been using for years that hasn't either had a complete rewrite or a major partial rewrite.

Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up.
Cop, that's not how field sobriety tests work.

It must have had at least one significant rewrite, when they adopted the Delphi programming language, as BiaB predates Delphi by several years.

I have mixed feeling about RAD (rapid applications development) tools. They're quick and easy to start, but not always so easy to maintain and grow. I haven't used Delphi, so I can't say if that's so in this case, but it sometimes feels like it.

You're right, Delphi can get out of control with feature creep, but I always enjoyed using it.

XLN Audio make Plugins, maybe I should give them some ideas for a Plugin that will generate and play real instruments and drums instantly as they are looking for new faces and fresh ideas, I would hate for all the information I post to go to waste, "Addictive Real Instruments" "Addictive Session Player Pro" "Addictive Instant Tracks" ?

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
