Task: to transpose a song/chorus by a semitone, every repeat of the chorus.
I have tried this feature for over a decade, with each new version and it has never worked here, with various PCs.
Repro:
I write in 4 bars. A II V I I In C. Set Chorus to 40 (0r 1).
I go to Preferences/Transpose,under Transpose, I set "Each Chorus that a song is playing transpose by {1} semitone".
A few choruses play correctly, stuttering a little at the beginning of the chorus (presumably whilst a new "song" loads. Yes this needs fixing, but even ignoring this obvious flaw, after a few choruses, whole choruses are missed and then bizarre playback ensues like plying back gthe end fifth bar only.
It's a complete mess.
If I try setting the chorus to 1 (vainly hoping this might work) it plays the initial four bars, transposes to Eb and only playes the final bar then stops.
This could be a very useful feature for all the pattern work musicians do. Why is it not fixed after all this time?
W, I managed to get it to work reasonably for me, though not well, by using MIDI only styles. The timing between iterations is still a bit unpredictable, but I managed to find it usable.
RTs were a complete failure.
Jazz relative beginner, starting at a much older age than was helpful. Kawai MP6, Korg M50, Ui24R, Saffire Pro 40. AVL:MXE Linux; Windows 11; Win8.1: Scarletts BIAB2022 UltraPAK, Reaper, a bunch of stuff.

It's trying to transpose on the fly and stay in time, which is fairly easy to do with MIDI tracks but not so with RealTracks. I'm not sure what the best solution for this feature is, but there are a variety of things that we could do to improve it.
That aside, a much better way to accomplish your task is to use Edit | Copy Special | Copy From .. To, and then set: - # times to repeat copy - with each copy transpose x semitones. Then it will be generated from start to finish as one song, and play in time the whole way.
Again why leave features that just don’t work? Bad code should be removed or fix. There are soooo many other examples. TBH as a long term user, I avoid using so much of the program as it is so unreliable. It seems to me that this feature could be made to work by loading the real ahead of playback. Z
If you render the song to stereo wav without drums then load that in a track then freeze and mute all the other tracks except drums it should just pitch shift the audio track if it will do that non destructively on the fly ? but then if it does you just have to see if it's not over transposing if you are looping through the whole octave. EDIT: may have to be in Melody or Audio track to transpose ??

This does not work correctly too. I tried this with four bars.
I put in 4 bars in the key of C, then appleid settings as suggested above. I get The first four bars are in Db (not C), then they four bars in the key of D are missing, then the rest of the repeats seem correct with the C foru bars at teh end. The Blue marker magically transforms to a green one. More poor, cobbled together programming.
As you can see, your website does not like my links to my OneDrive images. On other sites it's possible to load an image from your desktop, or to drag one on.Tghat's been possible for a decade or more.

You may find changing some RealTrack settings will help. Ctrl+E then select the RealTracks button to open the RealTracks settings window. Remove the check from "Speed up generation of RealTracks" and set "Tempo/Pitchshift stretching" to low.

The external images either cannot be embedded for whatever reason, or did not pass the validation. Instead, you can simply type in the URL, and the forum will convert it into a link. I have edited your post.

Right you cannot currently attach images by drag and drop with this forum software, however you can attach using the 'File Manager'.

This is because you set the bar to copy to as bar 1. You need to set it to bar 5:
Also, rather than setting the last bar to 4, set it to 48 (I don't think this should matter, but it is less ambiguous):
This will do exactly what you want, as far as I can tell.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
