Thank you Brad.

My brother and I and a couple of friends would bring our guitars and sing old cowboy songs from dinner time to the early morning hours. This song really takes me back there 'cause it would fit right in. Thanks for posting this one!

Perfect feel for the stockman --er, rather cowboy, Rob. Lyrics are also perfect --especially the chorus. Hollywood has clouded the image of the cowboy, but I'd like to know more about the stockman. But, like Ray say, gotta play to the wide audience. This is a great anthem and should be heard by many. Is that your friend in the pic? Perfect pic either way.

Enjoy whatever happens!

This is delightful, Rob! We grew up on western novels, tv shows, movies and music and you’ve captured that world.

The imagery in the lyric is so good and your vocals are great. Love the ending!

The BiaB guys really nail the mood and that drum track was a very nice surprise.

Enjoyed it!

P.S. We also discovered “dampers” from the comments by Ray and Peter and Janice cooked some today - but we did have coffee rather than tea. wink

Hi Rob...

Yeah, I liked it a lot. I really enjoy those old "campfire" tunes. Although Tex Ritter had a much deeper voice than you, I closed my eyes and imagined him singing this.

You took me back to the early 1950s, Rob. I would have 8 or 9 years old then. A really cool song and so perfectly presented. Goppd work!

Alan
