Yeah, this AI stuff is great for creating videos for my songs, saves a lot of time and money.

Yes, the video (minus the merging of the individual sequences) is mostly AI-generated.
The music comes from BIAB and Synthesizer V (which also claims to be an AI tool, but that's mostly marketing BS).

Hi Brain,

Very good song. Intriguing singer, nice story and minimalistic, but effective.
Like it a lot.
I think I need to work with AI as well. You're so good with it!

Your description had me thinking about "Silly Love Songs" by McCartney. And you have certainly mastered today's AI tools.
I'm glad these bot animations still don't look fully human as it was easy to imagine circuit boards behind the face.
When they beome indistinguishable from real people is when I think I'll be disorientated.

A high energy song with a touch of a punk groove.
Well done.

For me there’s no better place in the band than to have one leg in the harmony world and the other in the percussive. Thank you Paul Tutmarc and Leo Fender.

Not my genre, BD but this is really well put together.
The lyrics fit perfect and it's catchy, especially the chorus.
I can just see people jumping up and down at the local watering hole.
Well did.

This is weird! Sorry, but this is not one of my songs and I wouldn't even know how to use AI.

I began in 1970 with a 7 piece dance band. I had other bands, but my most successful one was "The four Windows", a 4 piece guitar band. Many concerts, TV shows, Record contract with EMI and a guitar hit in 1982 in Europe with my "Lonely Seagull".

Great song. Great sound and mix. Video is great, with just a touch of spookiness.
Well done,
Mike

The algorithm have really upped the incidental noises, breath etc.
Some melodic phrases seemed very similar but that is the real world with so few notes being manipulated by so many people.
Good rush of energy and a big beat.
Thank you Ray for listening and giving me feedback, which I always appreciate.

To be honest, I also think the video is kind of distracting, but it also makes me smile with all its shortcomings, which is why I left it as it is.

As for the breath sounds, these are NOT algorithmic (Synth V sometimes produces exhalation sounds, which I almost always remove as they sound bad).
The breathing sounds you hear are all explicitly programmed by me.
When the vocals are roughly finished, I sing along and make notes of when I need to breathe and how hard (or long) I need to breathe, etc. and add the breath sounds by hand.
Synth V is actually more a MIDI synthesizer that happens to produce human voices, and not like those online AI tools that you can tell what to do without(!) knowing how to do it.

Again, this is not from me and I have no clue how this got into my account. I also don't know how to remove it. The setup and support in this forum is mostly frustrating! I'm trying to look up all my postings and use "My Posts" in search, but they show up with all the responses, which makes no sense at all. Sorry for venting my frustration here.

BD,

Very cool tune . . . you've really mastered the vocaloid genre, with consistently crisp and well-produced tunes. Agree this video is a bit more choppy than the "Linger" one I just commented on the other day. But the sound is killer! Well done!

I now think my saying it would take at least a month was an underestimate!
Yep, it's all about the time you need.
And every day wasted on the visuals is a day lost for making music.

I'm no Beatles and/or Lennon expert, but I remember a documentary where Paul mentioned that John often liked to add something pessimistic after Paul's optimistic lyrics.
Yep, your comparison makes sense.

Good rock drive presented in an excellent mix with a strong group of BiaB session folks.

That is a very cool video - the new vid software really does create something more human like in capturing the phrasing.
It will be interesting to see see the progression of this tech.

Enjoyed it!

🙂
Thank you, David.

You are one of the best I've heard making these songs and this production is very well done!
IMO the best listening experience is a song between 3&4 minutes! You got a lot accomplished in this shorter song!
Very good work!

Thanks, TB
Thanks Torrey for your nice comment.
I think I already wrote this somewhere, but there's not much AI in the song itself, it's just BIAB, me (in most songs, not here) and Synthesizer V for the vocals.
And contrary to what their marketing people claim, there's not much AI in Synthesizer V.
The video is (almost) 100% AI, but in the end it's all about the music.

There's a free demo version of Synthesizer, and if you know how to work with a piano roll editor, you will quickly find your way around.

Band-in-a-Box 2026 Video: AI Stems & Notes - split polyphonic audio into instruments and transcribe

This video demonstrates how to use the new AI-Notes feature together with the AI-Stems splitter, allowing you to select an audio file and have it separated into individual stems while transcribing each one to its own MIDI track. AI-Notes converts polyphonic audio—either full mixes or individual instruments—into MIDI that you can view in notation or play back instantly.
