After Hours Jam

The last call at an after hour jazz jam at Leisure Suit's Larry's Lizard Lounge.

BiaB style = Jazz Ballad 1 Style - MIDI
Tempo = 70 BPM

Bass - Ample Bassa - upright
Piano - Lounge Lizard - Classic tracks - Riders on the Storm
Drums- Steven Slate's SSD5 - Jazz brushes
Me - My Jay Turser's Jazz Box and via my MIDI keyboard controller the Swam trumpet

As always all comments are welcomed.

I am playing my Jay Turser jazz box guitar and via my keyboard controller the Swam trumpet.
After Hours Jam

Mario,

This is the "lounge sound" at its finest... Love the guitar and piano tracks. Outstanding trumpet track!

Mario, super laid back jazz fun! That EP(?) makes a great anchor instrument. Love your jazz guitar tone and the octave lines were really cool. Nice, smokey playing on the Swam trumpet, as always. Hey, is it wrong to have an AFTER after hour jazz place? If so, I'm in!

Haven't thought about Leisure Suit Larry in years. Floppy disks and VGA graphics were SO cool back in those days. Ha!

Another really nicely balanced instrumental, Mario. Love the guitar and the Swam trumpet.

Thanx so much Bob. The piano track is verbatim from the BiaB style.

Thanx Dan. I never got to hear an after hours jam either but I do have fun trying to emulate them.

Mario, this is my sort of music.
The Swam trumpet works a treat. Well done. The trumpet player even sounds a bit tipsy, adding to the "last drinks" ambience.
The guitar is just right - a beautiful tone.
Cheers,
Mike

Thanx Mike. I also like lounge jazz, also called smooth jazz IMHO. I appreciate your very kind review.

The vibe is nailed and the name of the lounge is worth the price of admission.
We were reminded of a jazz lounge we visited in Charleston years ago.
We were walking by, heard something like this, and ended up staying a good while! smile

As always great tracks including your engaging instrumental performances.
Nice open airy mix too.

Well done,

J&B

Thanx so much Janet and Bud. The title came from an old video game I used to play called Leisure Suit Larry the Lounge Lizard. It was about a total loser going from bar to bar trying to pick up girls, but he always failed! It was a hilarious game to play.

Thanx for the kind review.

Dang, you're creativity has no limits, Mario. This is really cool. I can see the lingering patrons --some still trying to dance the last slow one, others slumped over their tables. Leisure Suit Larry is in the back counting money. The band is looking forward to getting together in an hour at Motown for another nightly session. They're playing at Cuban Pete's tomorrow, and they'll do it all over again.

Enjoy whatever happens!

Thanx so much Marty for this fantastic review. Be sure to check out the next jam at Cuban Pete's, hopefully maestro Mike will let us stay and listen!

For me there’s no better place in the band than to have one leg in the harmony world and the other in the percussive. Thank you Paul Tutmarc and Leo Fender.

Not my genre, but what you do with the trumpet is really amazing, I wouldn't have thought that wasn't a real trumpet.
Very well done, Mario!

No wind controller this time?
Interesting mostly mono image...if the tone were a little darker it'd sound like an old jazz recording.

Cheers
