Someone verify this for me. I ran and exited 6 instances of BB 2025 v1024. I checked task manager and there are 6 instances of bbw64.exe listed as background tasks consuming each 803 to 1164 MB of memory. Shouldn't they release the memory? They don't consume CPU cycles but that's 4-5 gigs of memory tied up (I have 32 gig total).

Biab plays the tracks in RAM, if you don't want to use all that RAM use the Plugin Standalone set on WAV Instructions only. Just started and stopped BIAB 6 times and it released the memory each time. Note that I am running the 2024 version, not 2025 as I have note decided to upgrade this year.

It's the Standalone Plugin version C:\bb\BBPlugin\Files\Band-in-a-Box DAW Plugin Standalone.exe It will run multiple instances but you need to close bbw4_64.exe running in the background before using functions in another instance. The latest update (1128) resolved this memory release problem. Thanks That's good. The only mention of this in the update was for users of Halion. Were you using that?

I was not using Halion but something else in my plug in usage may have been similar in program calls or structure.
