Anyway to fix an invalid data error. A project gave me this and needed to be shut down. I tried using the back up files but they all come up with this error. Other projects work fine. PT 2024 windows 11

if other projects work fine then step one would be to check your preferences in the problematic project match the prefs in projects that work.
thats what i would do.

Preferences look good. What surprised me was that all the back ups of the project also come up with the error. I thought the purpose of the backups was to be able to open an earlier version to a project that crashes or gor messed up somehow.

That is indeed the purpose of the backups
however ..
if the backups include the same plugin that is introducing the problem, they will also show that error.
Much like Worpress websites, maybe start with removing plugins to test, if you can get that far (remove suspect plugins before hitting play).
Just an idea
I had an amp simulator that did this (a certain version of FreeAmp).
