I wrote this song in BIAB, recorded in RealBand & processed in Cubase. Although I was pretty pleased with the drum track I eventually created & the chord progression, especially in the chorus, it was still pretty lifeless. My friend, Jerry Musser, liked it & asked me to send him the tracks. He put bass & guitar on it & a whole bunch of other things, edited it, remixed & brought it to life. http://www.mickemery.com/songs/august.mp3I hope you enjoy....

Well Mick, I certainly did.
I thought this was a wonderful instrumental.
Loved the drums and the drip drip drip at the start.
How you managed to get a dog and people in there was very clever.

This is top drawer all the way my friend. Of course Jerry's talent also came blowing through this tune like a freight train! Very smooth and yet very powerful and then very smooth again. You guys should be very proud of this effort.

What an excellent piece! I really enjoyed that. Love the drums and bass sounds. Also, lots of diffrent phases to keep the interest, and the whole thing really well mixed and engineered. Top notch, right down to the 'optimistic' major modulation on the last chord! All credit to you Mick and your friend Jerry. Thanks.

This was interesting transition from a jazzy (smoky lounge) kinda sax thing to the heavy overdrive guitar thing to the spacey ending with neat sounds.  Good job! I enjoyed it. Greg
