Finally upped my 2008 to the newest version with all the real tracks, and it has been a great boon to my songwriting. I really like being able to get a structure down and work everything else around it. The new real tracks allow me to get close enough to get a final view of the song. The songs are available on ReverbNation here http://www.reverbnation.com/bradbushDirect download “The Me in You” here http://www.reverbnation.com/controller/audio_player/download_song/5287210Download “That’d Be Enough “ here http://www.reverbnation.com/controller/audio_player/download_song/5287149Both these songs were created in BIAB first, and all tracks exported into Reaper where I mix and add vocals, guitars, other stuff and master and export. "The Me in You" features the following real tracks: RealTracks in style: 521:Bass, Electric, Pop Syncopated Ev 136 RealTracks in style: ~406:Guitar, Acoustic, Strumming Ev 136 RealTracks in song: ~1026:Guitar, Electric, Strumming DirtyOpen Ev 120 Added my own Nylon guitar, Electric Guitar Hook, Electric Guitar Solo, several vocals and remixed the drums in Jamstix "That'd Be Enough" is has more real tracks and less Brad tracks ;-): RealTracks in style: ~518:Bass, Electric, Pop HalfNotes Ev 085 RealTracks in song: 663:Guitar, Acoustic, Rhythm SouthernRock Ev 085 RealTracks in song: 666:Guitar, Electric, Rhythm SouthernRock Ev 085 RealTracks in song: ~689:Organ, B3, Background Pop Ev 085 RealTracks in song: 835:Guitar, Electric, Rhythm AltCountryRootsy Ev 075 RealTracks in song: ~409:Fiddle, Background George Ev 085 RealDrums in Song: NashvilleSouthern^01-Sticks,Ride Really only added vocals, and mixing on this one. Brad, I really enjoyed both your songs. I like your style and your voice. On the "The Me In You" track I wanted your voice to be a little more out front (like you mixed it in the second track).

Thanks. I have had a problem with the vocals being to far out and not seeming part of the song. I had them farther out and pushed them back some in the first song.

Hi, Brad,
"The Me In You" is a great song. I do agree with Josie, but it's mainly on the verse. You really get into it on the chorus.
I really liked the idea of "That'd Be Enough". That's what true love is all about.

Hi Brad,
I'm listening to "That'd Be Enough" as I type. It's great! You've got a terrific style. The song is well arranged, well mixed and performed with a good sense of style. Nice piece of songwriting too.
Regards, Noel

Brad, Nice job! I liked both songs. Speaking constructively, On "The Me In You" I think the acoustic (nylon?) on the left side is a little hot and it's sort of masking the vocal somewhat, especially on the 1st verse. I liked the guitar solo, but if it was me I'd re-do the 2nd, 3rd and 5th guitar fills after the solo. No offense meant, I'm just sure you can do 'em better. As for "That'd Be Enough". Great song. I liked it a lot. Very cool stops in the intro parts with the fiddle, good vocal, etc. Keep it up, Greg

“That’d be Enough” sounds fantastic. Your vox is outstanding in this one as are the backing tracks. The intro was super also. Great job on this one.
I agree with the others about both the vox to far back in the mix and the acoustic guitar being a tad to hot. Otherwise this is a very good song.
Keep up the good work.

Nice pro-sounding songs, Brad! Great vocals and I loved the guitar solo in "The Me In You", nice! Both songs are really expertly arranged, recorded and mastered. Tiny picky comments: Even on the second mix I found too much low end on the first song (compared to the second song which was just fine down there). I think it may be the lower strings on the rhythm guitar? I'd roll off some of the lowest freqencies a teensy tad. Lead vocal on the second mix of "The Me In You" is now too prominent and doesn't sit well in the mix. If it was too low in the first mix it only needed a slight correction. These things are part personal preference of course, some envisage a band as a lead singer right up front with some complementary backing at the back somewhere. I'm in the other school that sees lead vocal as one component in many and I mix lead vocals so they can be heard properly but no more prominent than that. Two enjoyable songs, thanks! John

Hi Bradbush,
I enjoyed both of your songs. Very well done in my opinion. Remember the finished article is what you hear and feel is right.
Keep em' coming

Hi Brad
I went to reverbnation and listened to your songs. You're doing some interesting things. Your band info says "just you and some programs", so can I assume that you aren't gigging? or are you doing a solo thing? I ask because your music has an enthusiasm that could work very well in a live setting.

I am too old to get back into gigging. Did the Wed-Sat deal for a long time when I was young and still play in a band with friends a couple of times a year, but my stuff is all me, and with three kids, I don't have the time. I appreciate your comment that the songs would translate to the live version.
As to an earlier comment on the vocals now being too loud. I made some place with EQ and turned up the vocal. Probably should have done one or the other. Will try and roll off some bass on the elec guitars.
I really appreciate all the positive comments. I have been writing and recording songs for 20 years now and I just feel I am now hitting my groove.
Brad

Hola Brad, really excellent work, great songs and vocal performances. You got a disctinctive seal that take me to Mike Jagger sometimes (That'd Be Enough)...sweet and intense. I like the overall record sound, guitars sound fantastic and group ensamble great with arrangements Congratulation for a very pro material.
