Hi there,
does using the DAW plugin VST Version 8 work for you in Fender Studio Pro 8?
I tried but got a lot of crashes and problems. Fender support pinpointed the Band in a Box DAW pluging V8(VST3) as the cause.
And yes, now that I removed it from my System (actually I had to deinstall Band in a Box completely) Fender Studio runs flawless.
Does it work for anyone here?
If not, what problems do you face?

Thank you for sharing this.
I saw you use the 2024 V6, that might be different from the 2026 V8 I had.
Does the plugIn recognise the DAW as Fender Studio? Version 8 did not detect the DAW! And selecting Fender Studio Pro was not available. Choosing Studio One was rejacted, falling back to Auto all the time.

I really have not used the BIAB plugin for a while because I did experience issues sometime back.
I just tried it out and I got the same result as you as Fender Studio Pro is not listed and it even if you select Studio One Pro it reverts back to Auto. I am able to generate wave files and drag them over to the tracks and that works ok. I don't think I have ever even messed with the create instructions so I can't comment on that part. It did not crash on me though. I am not getting any sound out of the plugin but when I drag over the tracks they are fine. Might be doing something wrong I am not sure.

I am not sure you do somethimg wrong, I had the same effects. But that changed any time, no pattern predictable.

Hi there,

Uncle Paul 1) Yes 2) It's been running pretty good to me but there is one known issue that has been reported to the developer. That is the plugin no longer recognizes the host. It's looking for PreSonus Studio One and now it's called Fender Studio Pro. There is another thing that helps quite a bit in the stability and that is to Save the song as soon as you you've added the plugin to the song. I have seen this cut down stability issues quite a bit. 3) Yes, but I have not done one 100% testing on all features yet. 4) The above problem has been reported to the developer and to be truthful I was expecting a patch by now but we have not received it. @MoultiPass I'm surprised you're not using the dark theme for the plugin as the colors have been mashed to work based off of Studio one Default dark theme.

I have worked closely with the developer, Adar, throughout the lifespan of the plugin.
He has been very responsive to suggestions and changes.
I was disappointed this year as he made very little to any changes to this year's version.
He was tasked with developing the new GUI in BIAB so he was very busy and probably still is.
Unfortunately there's still one critical thing missing in the plugin to make it on par with BIAB with regards to generating tracks.
That is "Partial generations".
If we can get partial gens to work in the plugin as well as the improved Library view, users would be a lot more capable of doing 90% of BIAB Backing Track generation.

Oh, also one more trick to the trade always set the option to copy external files to session directory in Studio Pro.
This means it will copy the temporary files to the song directory and have less of a chance of missing the files at a later date.

Well, I would not say I was disappointed. But I recognised that there where almost no new features added. Disguised in a clever wording: " continues to deliver..."
As for storing external files in the session folder, I learned that myself only recently. But that was good reminder. It is always supportive to share such Tips. There is so much to know!
