K-Dub Ya set a challenge to write a nonsense song, and this is the day of the big 'reveal'. All lyrics to this song don't have any meaning, unless my subconscious is trying to tell me something and I'm not listening. There are no repeating lyrics, as in a typical chorus, apart from the single word used in the title. For those that look at the Songwriting forum, this is the song I referred to as 'British Airways'.
Drums, bass, acoustic and electric guitars are from Band-in-a-Box and I sing and play acoustic lead.

EDIT: Has anyone seen or heard from Tom Sperrazzo (Tano Music)? He was a regular forum member posting new material every couple of weeks up until Christmas Day 2025. He always had novel approaches to developing new material. He has not posted or replied to the Forum since then; his forum mailbox is full; nothing new on his website or on Soundcloud. His Forum profile says 'Last Seen 29/06/26 07:18 PM' but I don't know what that means. I've reached out to him via his SC account but no response. I don't need to speak to him - I just miss his contributions.

I had a long journey with these lyrics. Originally I wrote a story with the idea of substituting each noun and verb with other random nouns and verbs. In the process, these pairs of lines came to me that had nothing to do with the original story. It’s easy to rhyme when there are no consequences! There was a bit of tweaking of this to smooth out the lyric flow.
White Album? My favourite of the Fab Four, and I love Savoy Truffle from that.

Yes, I do have a propensity for nonsense, and fully admit that I am some way along the quirkiness spectrum. I like to think of it as lateral thinking pushed to extremes. Yes, the three of us get great delight in hearing each of our responses to the current challenge. We should go back and replay some of these but always too busy with the next assignment. Our third member now has BIAB2026 so K-Dub and I are encouraging him to record and post to this forum … we’ll see.

David - I had to look up Markov Chains - it’s given me an idea for a new song theme - ‘My life is like a Markov Chain’ where each life episode moves me to a new situation in a range of foreseen possibilities. I’m sure I’ve met people who live that way!

What I like and find fascinating about this song is that even though line upon line the lyrics don’t have any connection, my brain is still trying to find a connection and make sense of it. And at the end of it, it’s convinced that there is some structural meaning to the song. It’s a bit like Across The Universe, in that abstract way, although I hasten to say I think ATU has a tad more meaning. I think the stripped back and clean arrangement works really well, as it gives the listener a good chance to hear the disconnections and mess with their thought processes. I'm always surprised how all three of us have completely different takes on the same challenge, it’s good.

The song is superb. The lyrics are delightfully confusing. You've done a wonderful job here ... my attention was kept throughout. The lack of "sense" in the lyrics meant that I could just relax and listen, without "trying to follow". Sounds like John Lennon in places. Great, great job.
Musically a great production and your vocals suit the 'nonsense' lyrics. In my early 20s I went through a period of writing 'nonsense' poetry, though it was more like surrealism. One poem is titled "Gentleness or The Wood To Wood Coast Turpentine of Palomino Spectroscope"! Maybe I should compose an instrumental with the same title?!

The melody is composed in a well-structured form and is very pleasant to listen to. The lyrics are certainly nonsensical, but I actually think that writing lyrics with that specific intent is incredibly difficult. The video featuring the lyrics was also very entertaining. Thank you Shigeki! In the writing process, I found I could have easily overthought the writing of nonsense, and I think I wrote above about a ‘mechanical’ method to write it. To start with the same thing Izzy started his post; yes, seeing your face with all those expressions was priceless. Very funny and also very original, as far as I know. It's impressive how you manage to string all those incidents together and even get a nice song out of it. And also with an attractive voice that always reminds me of certain English popsongs from the 60ths and 70ths. Of course I can't recall any of them now, but the kind of melody was stuck in my head.
