Hi all,
I just found a song I wrote in 1976 and recorded in the 80s.
It's called "A Little Pain". I remember playing it in bars with 2 Marshall Stacks.
I found it on a real old cassette. Transfered it from an old boombox.
I tried to fix the sound as best I could. It has too much highs, but it was the only way I could bring up the Vocal and Guitar.
Check it out if you like at http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page_music.cfm?bandID=835626 .

Warning, It Is Hard Rock. I used a Marshall and a 1965 Fender Jazzmaster.
Wayne,

p.s. my first drum machine...

Hi Wayne,You should try and re-do some of your songs with RT's Ive listened to a couple of them and I think it would work really well.I love your guitar work and you put in some very catchy riffs.Good one Frankie

Ditto to tributeman's comments! You're one mean guitar player that's for sure, Wayne.

Great chops man!

Great song also. Super vocal as well.

Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up.
Cop, that's not how field sobriety tests work.

Hi,
Thanks! The cassette has really bad sound so I was surprised I got that much fidelity out of it.
What blows me away is not just way I used to play but, man oh man, my voice is so young sounding.
It was so cool finding this. Like a lost treasure for me.
I am going to work on new stuff soon. I'm still trying to practice as much as I can. On a good day I can play pretty good. I don't think I'll ever play like the old days but, I don't want to. Also my present voice is fine by me.
My next project will be simple but will include vocals. That way we'll see how much changed for better or worse.

Again, Thanks for listening and your kind words of support. Also, I sure miss my old Fender JazzMaster. Still got my trusty ole Tele' though.

One more thing. In 1976 the band I was in asked me to write the lyrics. I wrote them the night before we performed it and always announced it "Now Here's a Little Love Song for You All". lol. I was a lot more fun when I was 24?

Wayne,

Man, I can relate to that

Is your small town NY anywhere near Rochester NY?

Very Tasty! I agree that it would work well with RTs -- go for it, don't worry if your voice is deeper now.. just call it "richer" and "more mature." <grin>

I also listened to your next track on the list, "Craylike Jam," which I really like. I listened to a lot of Robert Cray in the seventies, and am glad to be reminded. Very convincing. Your chops are still alive if this is current.

Thanks,
Daisy

Thank you all for listening. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Daisy, the last 2 songs on the list are mellow jazz-blues songs. That's what I mostly played in the 90s. Very clean guitar and acoustic which I never got to record.
I haven't thought about playing Rock in ages. I've been playing blues forever but when I played in bands they were Rock and Loud Rock.

Wayne,

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
