No, this is a nasty joke that a Dutchman has to make when hearing these kinds of love stories. We are used to that ourselves...

As I said it's a catchy song with, of course, a very good solo from Dave.
Your vocals sound nice and more bright then before. And you sing very seriously! But 45 years of marriage is a very serious matter! So far I come to 39 years, but with one difference; she found her prince for our marriage ;-)
How nice you have planned to release an album on the 14th. This song fits perfectly with that day!!!
I bet you still have a lot of work to finnish your album in time.

Good luck with it, Marty!
Hans

Hello, Hans. Not to worry. IF Barb finally met her prince, she wouldn't recognize him. Oh, you're a prince alright, and your wife obviously has great taste. The album was finished by November, and I already have the next one almost done. BiaB and the inspiration on this forum make creativity easy.

Great bottom end from you, Dave's icing is well set.
I hope you get a response from the missus, mine didn't say a word.
Top shelf shuffle.

Kindred spirits for sure, Ray. Some would say we share the same overself. Barb won't say a word to me either. I don't think she even listens to my songs, but she is quite inspiring.

Excellent song, Marty, and I really like the video you did for it too. Kathy did as well, we watched it together.

Tomorrow is the big day for your CD release, looking forward to giving it a spin!

Nice video, I like the jigsaw pieces as the symbol for fitting together smile

Janne

Thank you, Janne. I always enjoy your comments, AND your music.

Haha, Vic. I will never forget that. Thanks. I'd say after 50+ years, your wife's pretty content with a good thing.

Even if someone asks me what genre this song is, I can't answer either.
Some music needs a genre, but this song doesn't.
This song goes straight to our hearts.
Enjoyed my listen and watch a lot.

Best regards.

Thank you, Shigeki. Yeah, my blood type is B-positive. You, sir, are a very positive influence on my songwriting for sure.

Smooth as butter!

The sentiment of the lyric is a winner with us first of all. smile

Great mix and the piano is really good.

Dave sounds great

Your vocal and bass are smooooooooth.

And as always a most supportive video.

Love it!

Excellent song, Marty.

I love the feel and sound. You've sung this so convincingly.

Congrats on 45 years. We're a wee bit shy of that going on 37, and she knows I'm her Prince Charming. laugh

So much has already been shared that I would agree with. Is it too little to say, I hear all of those aspect yet sometimes like to just listen as as though I don't know a thing. I just really like the song...so the rest of it must be right kind of thing. Great job!

BTW, I'm like you, many times I don't know where MY music fits if I had to categorize it. I'm trying to forget about genre's as I feel I start thinking in terms of this does or doesn't fit a song in such and such a genre. It sucks the fun and creativity out of it. So...bring on the heavy distortion bag pipes! lol j/k

Anyway, keep these songs comin!

Loved this one.

Thanks, Mario. We always appreciate your close inspection, and thoughtful comments.

You have some great songs going on it.

Hope all is well in your world,

Deej

Thank you, Deej. Yeah, this isn't a good song to come up with a solo for, but Dave never fails. Man, it would be a lot of fun to hang out with you for a game sometime.

Thanks, you two. Always so nice to hear from you. Not sure about the YT thing. It's not like me to not want to hear what others have to say. wink I got a couple comments there, so... Thanks so much for your comment here and your encouragement and inspiration throughout.

Thanks, Scott. Yeah, well, it was much easier for your wife to see that. I had a bunch o' faults mine had to iron out. She comes from a long line of capable ironers. Her grandma even ironed her husband's socks and boxer shorts. smile

Thanks, C-Aaron! That is BIG to say that you listen without prejudice, not knowing a thing. That is truly the best way to experience a song --anything really. Yes, genres and categories are for mental convivence; in reality, not confined by definite endings. On the continuum of music, however, distorted bagpipes are way off the deep end. Always enjoy your thoughtful comments throughout the forum. Thanks, and I will keep 'em comin' cuz I can't stop.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
