Greg and Floyd, thanks for the kind comments.

Floyd...I wound up getting 'hooked' after I listened to my track multiple times. I like the way the RT piano generated so much that I wasn't willing to substitute something else, or even re-gen it...decided I had to either 'fix' the clicks or just live with it. I must have gotten lucky that the 'busy-ness' played out for me. Thanks again.

Tom,

Very beautiful song!
The melody is so sentimental and sweet.
You are a really great melody-maker.
The chord progression trick before entering "You and I, we go back a long, long ways..." is wonderful.
The piano fits perfectly as if it was written purposely for this song.
The additional strings, pad, block are modest, but they exist just where they should be.
Children's laughter is very effective.
Enjoyed my listen a lot.

Best regards.

Shigeki, thanks for your kind comments! I must have learned that "chord progression trick" by listening to the masters--thanks for noticing it!

The poignancy of this write is well supported by the vocal, instrumental tracks and mix.

It's all there and, man, does it ever deliver...

Very nice!

Dear "Tano Music"...

Looks as though as I read too much into your lyrics frown !!!

Regardless, "Leaving Home" has a profound emotional gravity that makes it memorable long after listening to it.

As a composer, and especially as a lyricist, you're an interesting songwriter, "Tano Music".

Sincerely,

LOREN

Loren, I went back and read your initial comments on my song. Thanks for thinking it was much more spiritual, but I really wasn't thinking that deeply...and it is a kind of "end of life" story--but in a more material way; thanks for seeing that it might be an analogy into something deeper.

Dear "Tano Music"...

You're welcome...and thanks to you for composing a song so evocative that it could invite differing interpretations!

Sincerely,

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
