This has a beautiful, slightly pensive, feel I'm just loving.
Glad you decided to include lyrics. It comes together great! Thanks for checking out the song. Glad you liked it. Scott/Robert,
When I saw the song was 5+ minutes long, I thought I would loss interest at some point (being accustom to the 3-minute thing). That never happened. A credit to you both.
Cool song. Interesting lyric. Nice tracks to carry it.
Nice guitar work, Scott.
Whoever mixed this did a fine job. One of your best.
fj Thanks Floyd Really glad you liked the song. I had done my three guitar tracks in Reaper and did some panning of the two leads and the harmonics track. Then I sent the wavs to Robert and he did the mix and master of the track. I also think he did a great job with the mix. Awesome! Cool!
I'm a fan, love what you guys do together
you're one of my favorite modern bands
I feel like it's a fevered dream and I can't quite keep up with
the images flashing by in a rapidly changing landscape
but it keeps my interest and I like it
sometimes you play the clown marionette falling down in the grown up puppet show
cut the kite from the string uncoil your spring amaze the day before its flown
(not just to disagree with Ray) but I relate to and love these lines
amaze the day is perfect to me
Kenny Thanks Kenny Glad you liked our latest song. Robert has been very busy working on some other projects and I am so glad he took out sometime to put this one together with me. Roberts lyrics tell a story and when you read them while the song is being sung they can really draw you in.

Wow - what a tune! Incredible unique, and the lyrics are truly poetic. It flows magnificently as well and almost had a whimsical feel to it. Nicely catchy on the hook too. You guys should be proud of this one - thanks for sharing Thanks Derek Glad you liked the song Great collaboration... Good imagery in the lyrics... To me, it was the fantasy of youth transformed in the reality of adulthood... Very nicely done... Your guitar lines fit well in the song... The production & vocals were excellent... I must say I always look forward to your collaborations! Thanks Jim It was fun developing the song. Glad you liked it Very interesting collaboration. I hear strong Scottish highland mood in the melody and guitars (reminds me of Runrig), naturally the cello adds another dimension. Great vocals and especially the guitar soloing is very enjoyable.
Janne Thanks so much Janne. I loved the reference to the Scottish highlands. I loved the music from there. So glad yo liked the song.

Scott and Robert,
Killer song—drips with mood and atmosphere, fresh and original . . . and love that vocal and those guitars kicking into the chorus. Very impressive production here, gents. Well done!
My regards to you both,
Deej

Wow, That was one interesting listening experience! Scott & Robert, I think you done great work on this! 5+ minutes... I got totally hypnotized Music, lyrics, production..solid A . The only small complaint I have is I wish vocals would be louder in some places, but that is just personal preference. Congrats to both of you and thank you for sharing! Misha. Thanks Misha. Glad you liked the song. The lyrics and the mix of the song definitely take you on a journey. Thanks for checking out the song. Hey Scott, this was wonderful! Excellent mixdown on all of this and the mix sounds well polished too. Love the effects on the vocals. Great work! Thanks Joe . Robert and I passed different mixes of the song back an forth. I had mixed my tracks so the two guitars were panned to opposite sides and the track with the harmonics sort of hovered in the center. Robert then did the final mix of the vocals, backtrack instruments and harmonies. Very cool to be able to do this when you live in different cities. Scott and Robert, it's great to see you guys back at it again! The chorus in this song is far and away my favorite section of music I have heard from you! The guitar solo immediately after the first chorus was perfect! Robert, I loved the vocal effects you used in this! Great work all the around! You guys are a great team!! Thanks, Torrey Thank you Torrey. I was glad to be working with Robert again as well. The chorus was a very special part of the song. It really takes off and picks you up. I am really glad you liked the song

Sounds great guys!
Excellent sound, and vocals are so rich.
Killer guitar Scott! Thanks David. So glad to hear from you. So glad you liked the song. Very nice song! Good work to both of you. Really enjoyed listening to it.
Will Thanks Will Glad you liked the song. Very visual and haunting lyric sung easy-does-it. I like the simple guitar theme in the lead played over those long-held chords and the way it grew up at the end. Really, really nice listen. Thanks for checking out the song. Glad you liked it..

"I feel like it's a fevered dream and I can't quite keep up with the images flashing by in a rapidly changing landscape..."
We like Kenny's description. Janice at first thought of a child playing and then things changed...rapidly and then again and again.
Man, would this ever make a rapid fire psychedelic tinted video.
You guys really do work together well. As Torrey alluded to the vocal effects and the guitar really add to the distinct and unique feel of this production.
And like floyd alluded to...whoever mixed it did a fine job!
Well done you two.

Thanks to everyone listening and commenting. I take heart from the general approval of the vocals - not being a natural rock singer its taken awhile to get into the different phrasing... and not trying too hard to sound like a rock singer. Having to record this one in a small closet (airshow team practising above town) maybe helped loosen my vocal inhibitions here! Would have been interesting for Scott to post his original track - its freaking good -to see how the song developed. I still hear a few tweaks that could improve the mix at some point.

Terrific lyrics, excellent production, loved it. I had trouble making out the words when two voices were singing, but that's why we get a lyric sheet. Great job.

Sure had a lot of fun on this. The mixing part was allot of fun. Love the way you blended the guitar into the vocal. For I will put up the original song. Coming soon :-)
