Hey guys...in 2008 I met (on line) Buddy Sutton, a lyricist from Waterford, Ireland...in the past 15 years we've worked together on dozens of songs...this year I'm remastering some of our songs with BiaB...I love them because Buddy has a great gift for paraphrasing the scripture and expressing it simply and profoundly IMO...I will post some of them in the coming months...this is one I just finished(?) and am sharing for your comments and/or suggestions...so...if you do...thanks for listening...Dan Perhaps https://soundclick.com/r/s3vx86Band-in-a-Box Components: OUTLOOK.STY Positive Outlook Poppy Folk Rock 683 Bass 1275 Piano 3580 Acoustic Guitar 691 Acoustic guitar 2933 Acoustic Guitar 3197 Electric Guitar Solo Real Drums= Nashville Even 8's I added: vocals

Dan (& Buddy),
A very solid write. Very solid vocals (and harmonies). A nice arrangement/production. Well mixed. (the drums are a bit "wimpy" for my tastes)

Hi you two. It's a nice sound and vocal. Three things, from my point of hearing stand out. The bass seems to lose notes here and there and the vox and drums need to come up a DB or two. Almost there.

I'm really enjoying your project, Dan. These songs are wonderful. Man, such strong vocals and always a positive and strong message. What about The Bible Album by Dan Simmons & Buddy Sutton (you can skip Numbers and Deuteronomy, of course )? Seriously, you are both entertaining and inspirational. Thanks for sharing the gifts.

Very nice Dan. Sounds as though you've got a good writing partner there. I might have used a few more fills or a few more lead instruments during the course of the song, but I have a tendency to over do it - and you wouldn't want anything to get in the way of that writing.

Another winner. Loved the song, the vocal, mix, and of course the lyrics. I do have one suggestion, get to work on the other songs as post them as soon as they are finished

You and Buddy are a good team, Dan.
This lyric is very good and your stellar vocals, the band and mix certainly do it justice. Your style choice was perfecto for the lyric and melody.
Well done!

Sounds excellent, good write. Nice melody, easy on the ears. I agree that the drums could have more punch. As a rule, I think songs are stronger when the chorus is instrumentally distinct from the verse. Perhaps that's true here, too.

Dan,
Love the message here! Once again, you've delivered lead and background vocals that are as good or better than anything posted in the forum or anywhere else for that matter! Everything sounds great to me! I am in the louder drums camp with Floyd, but if the lighter sound is what you were going for it's still ok! I know back in the early days of CCM the lighter drum sound was prevalent in a lot of songs!
Thanks, T

Hello Dan (and Buddy),
A very nice, emotional song you made once again. your vocals are very good, as always and the band does a good job. The lyrics were written very well, although I have a little difficulty with god as the saviour. I think we need to take more responsability ourself to change our world. Perhaps it's already too late?
But don't bother responding to that. I told you I like your songs, but am not religious. That's all.
I enjoyed it and didn't hear technical nits...
Hans

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!
For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.
Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.
Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!
Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.
Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
