This is a song I wrote quite a few years ago after a gig one night. Nothing on the telly so I had this tune in my head & decided to put words to it. The song is sung by my dear dear friend Sylvia Marie Barber. It was the last communication we had before she took ill.
You'll find many clips of Sylvia on you tube, but she was better known as one of THE great American accordionists. Sylvia died in April and was still performing up until her fatal illness. I thought this would be a fitting tribute to a wonderful lady & friend.
Thanks to some great friends for helping me out on this recording. Keith Scott from Australia on piano. Derek Hamilton from Ayrshire on bass, drums & synth, Russ Stanton for helping with some of the arrangements & of course more thanks to Derek Hamilton for mixing the whole project.
The pictures are all from areas mentioned in the song.
One biab track is pop ballad clean guitar ( arp )
