It's the same over here. I (Anne-Marie) live in the country too. More and more shops close, as well as primary schools.
We also use 3/4 tracks sometimes when it should be 4/4 and indeed, sometimes it works.

The piano at the end also works fine.

I think it's likely a worldwide issue in the first world countries.... Yeah... using the 4/4 B3 was more of an experiment and a slightly desperate act... but it worked out fine. You never know until you try something.....
