I was really happy when the vocal wasn't shouted as the capitalized lyric suggested they might be.
This is a near perfect country drink'n song: you've covered the traditional bases - dogs, rejection, drinking, jilted lover & a clever twist to turn a phrase in on itself.
I don't know about tears in my bear (sic) as Rob suggested but definitely sobs in the suds, blubberin' into the Burbon and tears in the tequila.
This song would've fitted on Elvis Costello's country LP Almost Blue.
