I think I said twitx one time up here in the north and
everyone froze thinking I was having some kind of attack.

Ha! Actually, the only time I'd ever heard "twixt" used was in the title of a book Pat Boone (yeah, that Pat Boone) wrote back in the late 1950s titled "Twixt Twelve And Twenty" As I put this together, for some reason that old memory visited me and I stole that word from the book title.
