Summer Nevermore

Back to normal pop-rock style with this timely song when summer is over and chilly autumn days are present (at least here in the north). Lyrically maybe not very interesting, but I hope it brings back warm and sunny summer images smile I really like those RT guitars, especially the sound of the held one inspired the chord progression and the mood of the song. All comments welcome!

Lyrics:

Observing a brood of eiders
brisk beneath the bluest summer sky
watching in the evening hush
a sailboat swinging slowly by.
A tender moment
my joy is burning bright
it is stretching
towards your loving light.

You let me grow and bloom just the way I was
I felt alive, not stunted on a pause
now your love shines somewhere else
I'm unseen on the shore
we didn't meet again
this summer nevermore.

The soothing scent of your presence
a touch of heaven in your glowing gush
the pleasure on the steaming stone
the foaming of the rapids rush.
Your smile at dawning
will make all pigeons coo
the lips alluring
request new rendezvous.

You let me grow...

You are now just a memory
from the round rocks of the idyll isle
the fortune to lay by your side
lasted for a wistful while
Where are you hiding
my skin is cracked and chilled
I am pining
my flask not been refilled.

You let me grow...

I'm reading nature's signs
will you rise again for me
what do you want to keep in secrecy.
If you arrive my love
I surrender to your throne
if not I'm buried underneath a stone.
