I am in the process of setting up a Windows 7 Professional, 64-bit computer. Both Blues Pianist Volume 1 and Blues Pianist Volume 2 install fine. When I launch Blues Pianist Volume 1, it works fine under Win7-64; however, when I try to load Blues Pianist Volume 2, I get an error message that says:

Quote:

The version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows you're running. Check you're computer's system information to see whether you need an x86 (32-bit) or x64 (64-bit) version of the program, and then contact the software publisher.

I've tried various compatibility settings, but nothing seems to work.

Blues Pianist Volume 2 works fine under 32-bit XP and Vista (haven't tried 32-bit Win7, since I don't have that installed).

You'll need a newer installer for that - the one you have must be pretty old. Please email support@pgmusic.com and we'll be able to fix the problem.

Thanks Andrew. Okay, I'll do that this evening after work. It's pretty old, as it was a bonus program in a much earlier version of BIAB. Later "bonus paks" did not include that particular program.

Hey jford & Andrew, I posted something similiar to what you posted and received the same message. I think I'm having the same issues with "Blues and the Contemporary Pianist PAK" which includes Blues Vol. 1 & 2, the Latin Pianist, the Modern Jazz Pianist, and the New Age Pianist. Of course NONE of the programs work. What I did was download ALL of my programs (I have the OMNI PAK from 2004) and download the updates to my Windows 7 (64- bit) system. PG Music has ALL the updates, except for this particular program which is on one Cd-ROM. I also see that PG Music has a Performance Pianist Series which ironically has the same exact titles of the one I have. I wonder if PG Music would just exchange the new programs for my old ones.

Hello,
I think pgmusic has no update for bluespianist otherwise we would find on the web support site. By cons as pg music continues to sell bluespianist but with windows 8 compatibilty , they must provide the new program compatible with Windows 8 to buyers of the previous version; It is included in the warranty

Hi Coolsmart06

Yes, you are noting that PG Music Support is not your normal run-of-the-mill support arrangement. We witness very few adverse comments about the way the approach support. For a very good reason too. They are serious about what they do, and very serious about their customers.

Welcome aboard, and we're glad they solved your problem.

Cheers

Trevor
