If this is already a feature, please let me know.

It would be great to be able to have sections with more or fewer instruments like macro assigning sections. For example, Verse 1 would have fewer instruments playing than verse 2...the same for chorus 1 vs chorus 2.

I know you can go into bars to mute and unmute instruments, but it gets a bit tedious.

This is one problem I hear with music generated by songwriters using BIAB; all instruments playing all the time for each section with no dynamics in arrangement changes. Usually songs build up to a chorus or climax section in a song by starting with sparser arrangements / few instruments.

Maybe it would be a matter of adding one or two more colors to the Blue and Green. For example a light blue would mean blue minus one ornamental type instrument (gtr 2 or organ) and maybe a simplification of the drum pattern and same thing for a light green with minimal qualities but not necessarily variations.

Maybe these extra options would still load all the sounds like they do now, but more ornamental tracks would be loaded as automatically muted.

Again, please let me know if this is already a feature, or if other find value in generating this type of arrangement intensity variation option.

Thank you.

This ability exists.

Look up Help, Index, Substyles. You can construct your own, or use a few MultiStyles that are provided.

And, welcome to the forum.

You’re welcome. After you’ve looked that over, let’s chat again. Some of us were just talking about this feature, which was a very big deal years ago when it was introduced, but apparently didn’t catch on with more new styles. Maybe we can push for more attention

Hi Matt,

I was intimidated by the work needed to make use of these options available.

Maybe I got it wrong, but it seemed like a lot of setup for each style you would want to modify.

Although it seems what is there now is great for giving a lot of detailed choices to the end user, I was hoping for something more 'one click' user friendly like the Blue and Green choices are on bars now.

I'm not sure I have much more to add to the conversation, but it seems like more arrangement modifications from simple to complex at a click of a button, or turn of a dial would be helpful.

Thanks for the follow up.

James

James, I think the way forward is for you to post a new thread requesting development of more multi styles by PG Music. I could see this being an add-on pak, a money maker for them to cover the extra effort.
